If you don’t know what day it is today then let us at The Amazing Blog remind you. It is St Patrick’s Day! The day to go out and have some Irish food, a few drinks, and celebrate Irish music, culture and heritage. With celebration in the air, it’s always easy to get swept up in fun of it all, and we love it! And we can't think of anything better than to go to the Bord Bia Irish food market at Trafalgar Square this Sunday.
Building on last year’s success, this year the event shall have one of Jamie Oliver’s original ‘fifteen,’ chef Relihan. He will be cooking on a ‘live fire’ with slow-cooked Irish beef stew and smoked Irish pulled pork wraps – Just the sound of it is making us hungry. Joining him at the event will be The Pie Cart, Salt Beef Bros, Butchies, Eat The Farm, Café Bueno and Mr Crumb. All of them will be serving delicious and signature street food specially created for the event, so as to showcase the quality and versatility of produce offered up by our neighbouring country. You may have a problem finding just ONE thing you want. We know we will. Alongside all this delicious food is an Irish craft beer tent serving drinks from the always brilliant Carlow Brewing Company (O’Hara’s).
All we can say is that the Irish certainly know how to throw a party, and we can’t wait to join the expected crowd of over 70,000 people and celebrate a country we love. Entry is free, and the event is open from 12-6pm. We look forward to seeing you there.
