Nakin Natural Anti-Ageing: Eye Cream Complex & Performance Face Serum

As they say ‘the eyes are the window to the soul’ and we think that having good skin is a reflection of a healthy lifestyle. As regular readers will know, at The Amazing Blog we’re always searching for great products that help to defy the ageing process. Today’s #amazingfinds are Nakin Performance Face Serum and Nakin Eye Cream Complex. As some of you may remember, we’ve already reviewed some of Nakin skincare products before (see here ) so it’ll come as no surprise we were really excited to try these two.

The founder Cris Beetham has been a pioneer of natural skincare for the past 20+ years with expertise in the anti-ageing and natural cosmetics sectors, thus making her brand one of the first innovative British skincare brands. This award-winning range of skincare offers a luxurious skincare system of cleansers, moisturisers and treatments. Their carefully selected natural ingredients not only target ageing skin, but also a multitude of other skin issues like sensitivity and skin repair.

Nakin Performance Face Serum is perfect for aiding sun-damaged or dull-looking skin and helping to restore one’s complexion back to its former glory. It is rich in anti-oxidant oils and extracts which prevent damage from skin stressors. Enriched with hydrolyzed hibiscus extract and hyaluronic acid these both help to boost hydration and skin elasticity. The pomegranate extract helps to reverse the sun’s damage, and best of all their products are suitable for all skin types. It’s recommended to apply the Serum to a cleansed face before moisturising to achieve optimum results. It quickly absorbs, leaving the skin feeling incredibly soft and silky. Due to its wonderful hydrating qualities, we think that it would also make the ideal primer under a tinted moisturiser or mineral makeup.

Nakin Eye Cream Complex is a light eye cream designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines, puffy eyes and dark circles. Again, it is enriched with hydrolyzed hibiscus extract, hyaluronic acid and pomegranate that help to rejuvenate the skin. It also has caffeine, green tea and seaweed extracts which compress the blood vessels and reduces eye puffiness. The cholera vulgaris here helps to improve your blood circulation for the removal of dark circles. Just apply a small amount of the cream with your finger and carefully dab around your eye area both morning and evening. We love that it absorbs easily and has a delicate fragrance.

These are tried and tested products, and we whole-heartedly recommend Nakin skincare which is also vegetarian, cruelty-free and has no nasties. You can purchase a 50ml Nakin Performance Face Serum at £25 here, and a 15ml bottle Nakin Eye Cream Complex at £18 here.

Dermo28 Skincare

Italian formula Dermo28 for skin and eye care has already carved its niche with The Amazing Blog. The four products that caught our eye (excuse the pun!) are the Dermo28’s Eye Complex an eye treatment for wrinkle reduction; the Recovery Cream which is a sensitive skin soothing cream; Cream Acida a pH balancing treatment and Regolatore pH a pH balancing toner. Dermo28's name was chosen carefully, as 28 is the number of days it takes for cells to regenerate.

Dermo28’s Eye Complex is a favourite eye treatment pick for wellness enthusiasts. The presence of vitamin C in its plant form is characterised to restore firmness and compactness to the sensitive skin around the eye area. High traces of aloe vera and pro-vitamin B5 provide optimal moisturisation and soothing to the area. Using this eye cream will make the eyes relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated for an eventful day and offering a peaceful sleep available at £54 for 15ml.

Recovery Cream is a highly sensitive skin friendly cream, which is devoid of all allergens. It is a handy skin-nurturing package for all kinds of skin irritation, soothing, protection and nourishment. We love the silky feel and the fragrance. The key ingredients are ceramides, argan oil and liquorice extracts, together with vitamin E and C, olive oil and allantoina which is for elasticising, soothing and moisturising. Available for £59 for 50ml.

Crema Acida and Regolatore pH are two products designed to work in tandem. A perfect combination that addresses blemished skin by refreshing and rebalancing. Designed to restore the skin's natural acidity level and rebalance pH levels.  The Cream Acida is the first step, apply after thoroughly cleansing the skin, smoothing a thin layer onto the face. It contains a combination of vitamin C and E, hydraterm and hyaluronic acid. It also has cypress for soothing, shea butter and lemon balm for their moisturising qualities. After a minute allowing it to sink in, it is then cleansed off with the Regolatore pH balancing toner, which calms any irritation and corrects the acidity levels in the skin preventing any bad bacteria. Again this contains ingredients of vitamin C with hyderaterm and hyaluronic acid, which work together with succinct acid for detoxifying and an antioxidant effect; the cypress extracts create a stimulating effect for microcirculation. Purchase the Crema Acida in 75ml for £50 and the Regolatore pH in 200ml for £40.

Only tested on humans

The Dermo28 range has something for everyone and is a brand that offers solutions for almost every skincare issue.

Skin Blossom Reviving Eye Cream

As the fellow readers of The Amazing Blog will know already we absolutely love all things natural and organic. Once I started getting into products' ingredients, my overall view of skincare changed dramatically - I started investing on quality brands that offered me specifically what my skin needed. I learned to identify ingredients that skin, in general, doesn't need and that average skincare contains as a rule. One day whilst doing my research on organic brands and products, I came across Skin Blossom and their Organic Facial Skincare Range. At the time, I needed a new eye-cream as I was running out of mine (and didn't really love it...), and decided to give their Reviving Eye Cream a go. When it comes to eye-cream, I look for something very nourishing but not too greasy. I always tend to go for rich formulas and use the smallest amount of product, as I'm really scared of milia. Skin Blossom Reviving Eye Cream's consistency is just the perfect mixture of a cream and a velvety soft gel - it's gentle and feels fresh on the skin. The formula is 85% organic and 98.85% natural - it contains Green Tea (fantastic antioxidant), Eyebright and Buckwheat extract; very brightening ingredients that I found worked great on my undereye area. One of the things I liked the most about the eye cream is that it's very gentle and scentless; which makes it perfect for those of you with sensitive skin.

Skin Blossom's products are made of organic ingredients and certified to the strict Soil Association organic skin care standards; and they're also suitable for Vegans. At The Amazing Blog, we have loved this eyecream and we're really looking forward to using more skincare items by Skin Blossom. Their prices are affordable and their quality impeccable from our experience.

Skin Blossom Reviving Eyecream retails at £4.95. You can visit their website to see a full list of stockists.

SilDerm's Lumixyl RevitalEyes

This time every year, my skin reacts terribly to the change of season - the constant changes of temperature make my skin dehydrated and very dull... make-up ends up looking odd and not as natural. That's why apart from looking for nourishing products, brightening ones are also on the top of my beauty wishlist every Autumn. To be fair, and when it comes to eye cream, I've always been on the hydrating side of formulas as they make under eye concealer go smoother - however, and following the "no dull skin in Autumn/Winter", I have to say that I and the girls at The Amazing Blog have fallen for SilDerm's Lumixyl RevitalEyes Brightening Eye Cream.

Lumixyl RevitalEyes claims to correct the 4 main signs of age of the eye area: dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles, dryness and inflammation - most eye creams usually treat one or two of these factors, however, Lumixyl RevitalEyes has been designed specifically to rejuvenate the eye area correcting these 4 main issues. This effective eye cream uses the Decapeptide-12 technology, which stops the production on melanin; the dark pigment in the skin that causes sun spots, liver spots and dark eye circles. To be fair, I don't suffer from neither fine lines nor inflammation; however, I do have a super sensitive under eye area which needs deep hydration and brightening. The product is quite liquidy yet nourishing, it leaves the skin feeling fresh and soothes this sensitive area instantly. Silderm's Lumixyl has left my skin smoother, more flexible and definitely brighter.

You can buy SilDerm's Lumnixyl RevitalEyes on their website, it retails at £50 - worth every penny.
