Oriflame - Ecollogen Foaming Gel Wash & Skin Perfecting Toner

If paradise had a smell, it would most certainly be Oriflame Ecollagen Foaming Gel Wash and Skin Perfecting Toner. As soon as us girls at The Amazing Blog opened the bottles, it was almost a scuffle! With a light, yet stimulating floral scent, we could not wait to wash our faces with the foaming gel wash and use the skin perfecting toner.

After fighting our way to the loo, good naturedly of course, we were able to try out these great products. The foaming gel wash comes out of the conveniently locking pump in a clear gel and foams up well for the face. When washed off, it leaves your face feeling smooth and refreshed. The toner goes on with a cotton pad and leaves the face feeling further refreshed and soft as feathers. One of the greatest things about this toner was that it did not leave the face feeling dry at all. This is a well balanced skin care duo and the scent alone makes the line worth checking out.

L’Artisan Parfumeur - Explosions D'Emotions

 

Here at The Amazing Blog  we appreciate exciting and gorgeous fragrances, new and old. So, when a brand which encompasses all these characteristics comes along, we are all ears. When L’Artisan Parfumeur, a brand with 38 years experience, sent us samples of their Explosions D’Emotions collection we had to give them a try.

We tried three fragrances, Rapelle-Toi, Onde Sensuelle and Haute Voltige. All three were gorgeous, having the perfect mix of flowers, fruits and woods, but we found our personal favourite was Rapelle-Toi.  Rappelle-Toi is a sweet floral fragrance, made up of gardenia, pepper and sandal wood. It’s really special how the gardenia top notes fade to reveal the spicy Sichuan pepper. Normally I’m not a floral, let alone spicy fragrance lover, but these notes, coupled with the bottom note of honey just work perfectly, making it hard not to enjoy over and over again.

Whether you’re looking for something exotic and unique, or just, like me, love trying new scents, L’Artisan Parfumeur Exploions D’Emotions collection has something to appeal to everyone, even if it’s not your normal fragrance style!

Here at The Amazing Blog, we obviously love beauty products, but we love them even more if they have an inspirational story behind them. Kelita Bignall, the director of Yours Truly Cosmetics devoted her time to learning the science behind skincare to help overcome her own skin problems and after realising the benefits she had, decided to share her secret with the rest of the world.

Don't Bite Me! Patch

With the beautiful weather of summer comes the dreaded time of mosquitos. At The Amazing Blog, we have a pretty dim relationship with bugs. That is why we were glad to find the Don’t Bite Me! all natural patches. This summer, us girls over at The Amazing Blog will no longer be slathering ourselves with smelly bug lotions or sprays; we will just slap on this clear, waterproof patch and go on about our days.

The Don’t Bite Me! patch has only 2 ingredients: Aloe and Vitamin B1. When the Vitamin B is metabolized in the body, it reduces the odours that attract bugs. Unlike other products, this one works within our bodies to deter insects, not repel them. It needs to be applied 2 hours before going outside, and lasts for 36 hours.

Luckily we were not in buggy zones for that long, but we did notice an awesome lack of bites after our night out in the garden.
