Germaine de Capuccini – Multi-Regenerating Rose Hip Oil

laras tuesdayThe weather in the UK has gone a bit crazy… don't you agree? The team at The Amazing Blog is wrapped up in winter coats, wearing sunglasses and carrying an umbrella around as you never know what to expect. And with these sudden changes in temperature it's really making our skin suffer. Our hands are extra dry – we have changed hand creams for balms - and our complexions do not look as bright and feel a bit tight… never a good sign. Our pals at Germaine de Capuccini recently treated us to one of their latest product launches, the Multi-Regenerating Rose Hip Oil. An oil rich in fatty acids that promises to rejuvenate and plump dehydrated skin? Oh yes please.

Rose Hip oil is known for its many amazing properties, it works wonders on mature and dry skins and it assists dehydrated skins. It also helps soothing and balancing blemish-prone skins, healing burns and it also lightens scaring and marks. Germaine de Capuccini’s offering is light in consistency but feels nourishing and rich on the skin. Best applied in the evening before your moisturiser of choice it will result in glowy, healthy and balanced skin the morning after. This Multi-Regenerating Rose Hip Oil can also be mixed with body lotions and butters for that extra boost of hydration; it’s especially good for areas prone to dryness such as elbows and knees.

The packaging on this oil is just perfect, it comes with a pump that dispenses the right amount of product, it’s travel-friendly and also clear; which allows you to see how much product you have left. Overall, Germaine de Capuccini’s Multi-Regenerating Rose Hip Oil is a winner, and although it’s a bit fragranced, it has worked wonders to rebalance our dull and dehydrated complexions.

You can purchase this small gem from Germaine de Capuccini’s website. 30 ml for £34.95.

Lucy Annabella Organics - Argan & Bergamot Organic Treatment Oil

Lucy Annabella blog pic

I have to hold my hands up and admit I am totally obsessed with any product that claims to moisturise or hydrate the skin, so when The Amazing Blog was sent the Lucy Annabella Argan and Bergamot Organic Treatment Oil, I jumped at the chance to try it. With all-natural, 100% organic ingredients, I hoped this would put an end to my constant search for the perfect moisturiser, and well, was I was right!

Not only is the oil completely natural, but it is also rich in Vitamin E and the skin nourishing ingredient Argan. Lucy Annabella Argan and Bergamot Organic Treatment Oil is also full of essential oils, including lemon, bergamot, lavender, sesame, avocado, apricot and cypress.  With this blend of ingredients, and a glorious scent of rosemary extract, this oil smells too good to be true.

Designed to awaken the body and revive tired skin, this oil works perfectly when applied in the morning. I love using this after my daily morning shower and find as it absorbs almost instantly, my skin is left feeling fresh and hydrated all day. What I love most about this oil is that it leaves my skin soft and moisturised without that greasy residue many oils leave. Its quick drying time is perfect for the mornings, as no one particularly wants to be standing around waiting for their skin to dry, especially when rushing off to work!  If you’re not a morning person, I’ve found the oil is also great in the evenings when you have more time to spend pampering yourself before bed.  The following morning, you will wake up with refreshed, soft skin.

You can purchase 125 grams of this oil for £38 from the Lucy Annabella website, here.

They effectively remove all traces of make-up, soothe stings, scratches and sunburn, sanitise surfaces and can also be used as a refreshing reviver if you need a little lift! These wipes are so natural they are baby-friendly, meaning they moisturise skin unlike many other wipes.

These multi-purpose wipes come in five different scents: lavender, eucalyptus, orange, lemon and tangerine.  Trust me when I say the aroma is incredible. Even when I don’t need a wipe, I find excuses to use them so I can smell the glorious scents - they are refreshing and a definite mood enhancer!

These soft, 100% organic cotton wipes are cold-pressed to preserve their natural properties, and are also anti-bacterial, meaning you can easily wipe away any dirt and bacteria. Needless to say, I can only imagine how amazing these are going to be during summer and festival season!

Just Bee - Nourishing Hand Cream

Just Bee Blog

It is no secret that we at The Amazing Blog love everything and anything to do with bees. With the UK’s increasingly volatile weather systems, and a particularly brutal summertime, the British bee has recently suffered. With the dramatically declining numbers, to find out how you can help, see: Help Save The Bees and The Beekeepers Association. Such is the nationwide concern that even our Exec Ed, Edwina keeps toying with idea of putting a hive on her central London roof terrace! Therefore, we’re extremely happy to introduce you to our latest find Just Bee.

Just Bee is a family owned enterprise producing luxury skincare and scented candles. They have a 55 year tradition of beekeeping in the family and keep 125 hives, dotted around rural West Somerset. With beeswax and honey harvested from their family bees, helps to keep their products as natural as possible and the selected scents used come from essential oils and are handmade on our farm.  Something you might not know is that both the Egyptians and Romans used beeswax on their skin - this is well-documented. Not only does beeswax act as a natural anti-inflammatory, it is also antibacterial, anti-allergenic and contains vitamin A. It is naturally hydrating and particularly good for sufferers of eczema or psoriasis. We mustn't forget to mention that Just Bee not only produces skincare but candles too.

We picked the Ultra Nourishing Hand Cream to try. Made with a combination of beeswax and honey, the cream seals moisture into the skin and is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic. It unscented and also has added rosehip and sweet almond oil, which helps to rejuvenate the skin with its anti-aging properties. Best of all it's Fragrance-free and the natural ingredients leave hands silky soft with a gentle scent of honey. It has become a firm favourite as it is not only rich and moisturising for our hands but also for lips too! We like multipurpose products and this certainly has proved to be just that. Our Exec Ed is so impressed with this handy cream, that she closely guards it on her desk. It’s great value at £12.50 for a sturdy 250ml bottle with pump and... We think that this should be shared as everyone’s desk essential – hear that Exec Ed?!
