Atone

Working in a small office in close proximity to my colleagues I have become increasingly aware that when one of us gets run-down more often than not we will all be affected. In a bid to ward off any pesky bugs circulating The Amazing Blog office (not to mention the day to day grime of London transport) and avoid afflicting my fellow colleagues, I have been doing everything I can to give my immune system a boost. We all know that getting lots of sleep, exercising and eating sensibly are the best ways to stay healthy however sometimes an extra helping hand is needed and after doing some research I was happy to stumble across Atone.

Atone is a range of natural enzyme supplements designed to boost and support our bodies. The range consists of six different supplements: Detox / Anti-Fatigue, Digestion with Probio, Immunity, Joint Care, Longevity and Repair. Here at The Amazing Blog we’ve been taking the Immunity supplements 2 to 3 times a day for a month now and (knock on wood) have not had so much as a sniffle between us. Immunity combines a blend of herbs including Fibrinase (an important enzyme for healthy circulation) and Ascorbyl Palmitate (a fat-soluble form of Vitamin C). The blend has been designed to promote healthy circulation and normal blood pressure, boost immune function, scavenge free radicals and help the body to both heal and produce energy through the metabolism of fat. The formula also contains derivatives of mushrooms and plants whose use in traditional medicine has recently been backed up by research on their antiviral, antibacterial and antioxidant properties. The combination of these potent ingredients helps to boost the immune system and help ward off a variety of infections, perfect for those of us burning the candle at both ends!

Atone supplements are available to buy online here or  from all Whole Foods stores.

HYG Toothbrush

There are certain features on other people that you cannot help but notice immediately. Some people say they notice someone's eyes first, others say their hair, but to me the first thing I notice is other’s teeth and smile. Since I realize that I always take notice of people's teeth, I am always conscious of my own teeth. I am constantly searching for the perfect toothbrush and toothpaste. I love having that fresh from the dentist feel after I brush my teeth. I was recommended the hyG toothbrush by a colleague at The Amazing Blog is and having been using it for a while now my usual toothbrush certainly doesn't compare!  This toothbrush is said to reduce plaque up to 48 percent more effectively and the main reason it's so effective is because it breaks the electrostatic bond between teeth and plaque. Teeth are naturally negatively charged while plaque has a positive polarity and since teeth and plaque have opposing polarities, they are attracted to each other. However when the hyG toothbrush is used on your teeth, your teeth then become positively charged. This causes both your teeth and plaque to have a positive polarity, which results in them repelling each other and the plaque is then attracted to the bristle of the brush. The science behind this toothbrush truly makes it one-of-a-kind.

After using this toothbrush you'll really notice a difference in your teeth;  achieving that straight from the dentist feel. Ever since I began using this toothbrush I have noticed a real difference in my own teeth. They feel smooth and polished. Being constantly mindful of my teeth, I often search for the best toothbrush and I believe that I found it in the hyG brush.  My teeth are much healthier and look better than ever before. I find myself constantly smiling now that I use the hyG toothbrush. Don't just take my word for this amazing product but go and experience the difference yourself and pick up a hyG toothbrush from John Bell and Croyden.

Bob Carlos Clarke at The Imperial Arms

It’s always nice to find a new ‘local’ watering hole near us in Chelsea. So we were thrilled to hear about the launch of The Bob Carlos Clarke Bar at The Imperial Arms - it’s so nice to find somewhere that will offer more than just a drinking venue. This is inspired by Ghislain Pascal and Tamara Beckworth’s Little Black Gallery in Park Walk who have branched out into the restaurant world by collaborating with The Imperial Arms and are going into partnership with the pub’s current owners Iain and Amelia Heggie. This bar will contain a little bit of everything that will curtail to the interests of a multitude of people. In its simplest form, this is a London Victoria pub in which you can order your favourite drinks and enjoy the company of your friends.

However, there is much more to The Imperial Arms than just that; also on offer is some of the best street food in the capital. On top of all of this, the Bob Carlos Clarke Bar will include wall to wall photography from the Little Black Gallery – injecting a bit of culture into a round of drinks. The launch exhibition: 'Best of The Little Black Gallery' includes photographs by Terry O'Neill, Gered Mankowitz, Mike Figgis, Lisa Creagh and Luke Foreman, and all of these photographs are available to buy. This will be a bit like going down memory lane for The Amazing Blog Exec Ed as she remembers only too well working with some of these snappers in her past incarnation as a stylist in the heady 90’s! The Little Black Gallery was voted the number 1 top emerging art gallery in London by the Downtown Traveller Magazine USA and it was also voted as one of the top venues in Chelsea by Absolutely Chelsea Magazine. The Bob Carlos Clarke Bar proves that is has a little something for everyone to enjoy.

The Bob Carlos Clarke Bar opens on 17th April and is located in The Imperial Arms. It will definitely be worth attending, whether you’re looking for a different type of bar to venture to in the near future or to simply enjoy photography. Personally we can’t wait to try out this bar to not only enjoy some drinks and food, but also to admire the photos on show by such legendary photographers.

Chia Maria Candles

How many times have you needed time to unwind after a long day at work or uni? Ever needed a break after having a bad day? Whenever I find myself in that position I come right home and head for my living room. It is something of a safe haven in my house and there's nothing better after a stressful day than putting my pajamas on and lying on the sofa to watch a film or curling up with a good book. Candles are an essential for me on days like this; I love the serene atmospheres they create so when The Amazing Blog discovered the Chia Maria Citrus Amoroso Candle I instantly knew I was on to a winner.

The Citrus Amoroso candle is a wonderful smelling candle. It combines the scents of sweet tangerine, zesty lime, and grapefruit and the three scents are all blended with a veil of fresh green herbs. The combination of these various scents form a citrus smell that is sure to catch anyone’s attention. The scents complement each other and create a soothing aroma that will add a welcoming feel to any home. This wonderful candle burns for approximately 40 hours and I can't wait to try the other scents that Chia Maria has on offer including their Fig Innamorato and Fiori d’Amore.

In addition to the Chia Maria candles smelling wonderful, they are made 100 percent from soy. Therefore since they are created from soy and not wax they can be used as a hand cream as well. So, once the candle has been burned the residue can moisturise your hands. Here at The Amazing Blog we love lotions so when we found out that this candle can double as a cream we liked it even more. And so, whether you need a candle to aid in your relaxation after a long day of work or simply want to try out the dual feature, the Chia Maria candle is a great purchase. You can buy yours today from their website.

Gone Digging

There have been many occassions in my life where I search around and wish that I could simply press pause and time would stop. Times when I have become so consumed by work and school that the days all seem to merge together. All of a sudden it feels like only a day has passed, when in actuality it's been a week. Recently this has been what my life has been like. A time when there doesn’t seem to be nearly enough hours in the day to get everything done. And with Easter just days away I hadn't had a chance to buy any gifts for friends or family. I barely had any time to figure out what to buy which is why I was eternally thankful when my colleagues at The Amazing Blog informed me about Gone Digging! Gone Digging specializes in personalised gifts and cater for people of all ages, occasions and budgets, many of which are perfect for Easter. I was able to purchase a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my mother; the arrangement contained colourful flowers such as chrysanthemums, roses, and a selection of germini and carnations. On the bouquet was a beautiful ribbon in which I could include a personal message. There was also the perfect gift for my sister: a bottle of wine and chocolate truffles. On the bottle I could include any message I wanted. I was even able to spoil my niece with gifts from Gone Digging - I purchased a picture frame and a stuffed animal bunny which were both personalized to her and which I am sure she will love. All of these gifts were very reasonably priced so my bank account did not have to suffer after shopping for gifts this year which is always an added bonus! Even though time seemed to have gotten away from me this Easter season, I was able to purchase all of my gifts in time for the weekend. If you are still in need of that perfect gift for someone special this Easter, look no further than Gone Digging - I guarantee these personalised gifts will be a hit with everyone.
