Ancienne Ambiance - Luxury Goddess Soap Collection

blog As many of our daily readers know, we at The Amazing Blog love writing about small natural and organic brands. Already familiar with Ancienne Ambiance and their natural Candles, you can imagine we were quite excited to receive their new Luxury Goddess Soap Collection. And after opening the box, we were certain we would not be disappointed.

Inside the box were two individually wrapped Goddess Soap Bars that instantly caught everyone’s noses by surprise as a delightful lavender scent filled the air. Similar to their candles, Ancienne Ambiance offers wide variety of blends to choose from. While my personal favourite has to be the Lavendula, their other fragrances include Rose, Jasmine, Honey, Almond Milk and Argan. And top tip, put a just single bar in your wardrobe to rid any pesky bugs and keep your clothes smelling fresh - I recommend it. Each blend smells delightful but the unique ingredients of Ancienne Ambiance truly separate their soaps from other brands. Each 100mg bar is made from a natural vegetable oil base specifically derived from coconut oil. The natural Glycerine from the coconut oil is combined with Shea Butter to provide extra vitamins to moisturise the skin. And the whole formula is completely free from parabens, synthetic materials and harmful chemicals.

Ancienne Ambiance says the Goddess Soap bars are perfect for daily use on both your face and body – I cannot disagree. Even after just washing my hands, I found my skin feeling soft and silky. So let your body and skin indulge in these natural soap bars. Their website offers a 3 bar soap gift set for £16 as well as a complete gallery of all their soap collections.

MyChelle - Fabulous Eye Cream

blog As many of you will know from reading our blog we’re fans of the MyChelle brand and recently reviewed their  Deep Repair Cream. When it came to their other ‘hero’ product, it was a big toss-up as to who was going to review their  Fabulous Eye CreamHowever, it was a case of ‘Age over Beauty’ and I insisted that my needs were far great than that of my dear young colleagues…

In my experience eye creams can either be too heavy and greasy or very light leaving an unsightly residue all around the eye area. Fabulous Eye Cream is neither. I’m pretty sceptical when it comes to eye creams and their ‘promise’. I’ve spent way too much money on creams that are (the above) or just don’t deliver. I’ve been using this Fabulous Eye Cream for over a month and a half now and find that this little tube goes a very long way – I’ve barely made a dent in it. The cream feels very luxurious and is immediately absorbed into my skin. It smells slightly floral but not overpowering.

MyChelle’s advanced formula is designed to nourish the delicate eye area. They claim that the Leontopodium Alpinum Meristem (Edelweiss Plant) Stem Cell Culture which inhibit collagen breakdown and are clinically proven to reduce wrinkle depth by 15% after only twenty days of use. It also contains the magical ingredient of Sodium Hyaluronate (L) (Hyaluronic Acid) - Hyaluronic Acid from mucopolysaccarides, which as we all know binds moisture within the skin, giving a smoothing and firming effect.  Other key ingredients are Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola) Extract an antioxidant, which improves collagen content, renews collagen related to weakened connective tissues, prevents scar tissue formation by slowing down excessive collagen production at wound sites; stimulating circulation and the oxygenation of skin tissues. And Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract which provides soothing and cooling effects to ease irritated skin, has been shown to be moisture-binding, moisture-regulating with softening properties, anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic, bleaching effects, which  improves flavonoid protections and nourishes the skin.

Well, yes I have noticed a difference, subtle but definitely a difference particularly the softening of lines around my eyes. What I particularly like is that this Fabulous Eye Cream is ‘natural’ with only naturally derived ingredients (definitely my thing…) I’ve also used it on my lip area at night and have seen a noticeable ‘smoothing’ in that area too. I’m surprisingly won over by this product and love the way it seems to be just lasting and lasting. While normally £19 for only 15ml we are lucky enough to offer a 50% discount! For the next month simply(ENDS 6nd June 2013) enter AMAZING50 upon checkout and receive this incredible deal. It truly woks out to be a great value for the money. Recommended!

Bodhi - Neroli Lucé Revitalising Face Oil

blog After a long day of work and commuting from Chelsea to North London, I always look forward to removing my make up and getting rid of the dirt from the tube. My evening skincare routine is the perfect remedy to remove my stress - who doesn't love a bit of pampering, huh? So when we at The Amazing Blog  received the Bodhi Neroli Lucé Revitalising Face Oil I was eager to give it a try. We were lucky enough to feature Bodhi last year on the blog so I had no doubt that Elijah Choo, the founder of this fabulous brand, had come up with another fantastic product.

Neroli Lucé is made of an exquisite blend of botanically derived oils. Hand crafted by Elijah himself, each oil is chosen with a specific purpose. Tunisian Neroli aims to revitalise and rebalance, while Frankincense and Sea Buckthorn oils rejuvenate and restore natural oils in your skin. Personally, I have always been a fan of Neroli oil's therapeutic properties as it regenerates skin cells, promotes soft skin, and helps to calm the nervous system.  Now combined with Frankincense and Sea Buckthorn, I found this facial oil to be hydrating without leaving a greasy feeling behind. Just one to two pumps were enough to leave my face feeling plump and glowy-looking. Due to the purity of each ingredient the smell is slightly overpowering at first; however, once the oil has been absorbed, the vibrant orange blossom aroma is quite refreshing and calming. This exquisite oil invites you to close your eyes and be taken away to a Mediterranean euphoria.

While it may seem a little pricey at £32 for a 15ml, this elegant and clever blend is worth every penny and available on their website.  Requiring only one or two pumps per use, it is sure to last you a while. With its unique blend of botanic oils, Bodhi Neroli Lucé Revitalising Face Oil is the key to restoring your skin back to that hydrated and radiant look we all love and aim to achieve.

Skin Chemists - Trim Tum

blog With Summer approaching fast and the swimming costume/bikini season looming. We at The Amazing Blog are just very ‘slightly' going into panic mode. Eek… We’ve all been discussing in the office that there’s really not much time before we’ll all be striping off for our Summer beach holidays. So when Trim Tum arrived, as you can imagine, we were all very motivated to give it a go.  After all, here is a product that 'promises' to aid our battle to banish those unsightly little tummy bulges.

Skin Chemists are an established small family business, with a long heritage since 1890.  Their current MD Richard Walker continues on his father's passion for creating breakthrough skin creams, working alongside world class pharmacists and chemists. They are perhaps best known for their Wrinkle Killer Snake Serum which they launched in 2010.

I was very quick to volunteer testing out  this latest product from Skin Chemists   I’m known for being the laziest person in the office (my excuse is time poor and having had to do slow walks with my elderly dog). I have now been using Trim Tum for the past month religiously (morning and evening) and I have to say that I really have seen a slight difference in the texture in my skin;  although I think that I need to keep going for another month or so to see more substantial results. It contains active ingredients of Laracare and Slimexir (4%) both of which help to revitalise and strengthen the skin to give  a significantly slimmer abdomen. I’m down to the last few ‘squeezes’ and am tempted to get another tube. However be warned it is not modestly priced and is a considerable purchase at £125 for 100ml.

But those lovely people at Skin Chemists have kindly given us an EXCLUSIVE 80% discount offer for their Trim Tum so please log onto their website and enter AmazingSkin in the checkout code – ending 21rd June 2013.  Which makes it a very affordable £25!!  Most certainly I'll  now be stocking up with a few more tubes :)  Skin Chemists products are innovative, ethical and clinically proven to be effective.

Botanicals Organic Skin Care Facial Collection

blog As most of our daily readers already know, at The Amazing Blog we love any kind of products that are hand made and organic. After hearing about Botanicals skincare from a couple of my friends I knew I had to make it a point to try out their facial collection. We were all pleasantly surprised when we received the Facial 'Try Me' Collection: Chamomile & Mandarin. There was a little something for everyone to take home at the office.

Botanicals Skincare Company uses only the most natural and organic ingredients and are all hand made in small batches to preserve the quality of all their products. After learning about this, we knew we were all getting a great product to sample. I luckily ended up with the Skin Tonic and Green Clay Nourish Masque, which I was secretly pinning for. All in all I was excited to sample these two different products. I had Sunday off so I knew this would be the perfect time to test out these new products.

On Sunday I decided I wanted to treat myself to a mini facial so I tried out the Green Clay Nourish Masque. After applying a thin layer and letting it really soak into my skin for approximately 10 minutes, I then used a hot towel to gently scrub it off of my face. It left my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated – while also leaving me in a great mood, but that maybe because I finally got 10 minutes to myself. After treating myself to the mini facial I decided to try the Skin Tonic. At first, I was hesitant, in the past I have found that most Skin Tonics tend to dry my skin out, thankfully that wasn't the case. I applied a small amount of the Skin Tonic lightly on my face and it was quickly absorbed. I was impressed with how hydrated my skin still felt. The Skin Tonic also allowed my mouisturiser to last longer – which was a great added bonus that I wasn't expecting.

I would highly recommend the "Try Me" set that Botanicals Skincare offers. You are able to test out an assortment of their products and then decide which ones you wish to purchase. It's a great way to quickly figure out whether or not you like the brand without the commitment of purchasing a full sized product. You can buy your own  "Try Me" collection facial set for  £37.50 . Let Botanicals help you figure out which facial serum, skin tonic, or nourishing masque works best for you and your skin type. If you ask me this sounds like a great deal!
