As we all know, the stresses of daily life can take a toll on the delicate skin of our face. Although it is a full skincare range, we were particularly impressed with one product: the Moisture Replenish Concentrate. It is a water-based serum designed to use morning and/or night along with your other skincare products to keep moisture locked into the skin. One of the things that we love about Gatineau is that they have tested and proven results of their products. Gatineau says that with this serum, ‘+53% of rehydration to the skin will happen after 15 minutes of application’. This means that the serum is perfect for dehydrated skin and for people who are travelling.  The Aquamemory line boasts a high content of hyaluronic acid to keep skin hydrated as well as using a technology called osmaporine, which blends micro marine algae and marine plants in the formula to moisturise skin.

Keep Cool and Refreshed with MayaWater Facial Mist

Most of us know that our bodies primarily consist of water. With that being said, it is quite easy during the day to forget that your skin, along with your mouth, needs it. The beauty loving girls here at The Amazing Blog are no strangers to facial mists, so when the Maya Water Organic White Tea facial mist arrived, we were all at arms to try it first.

Get Squeaky Clean with Granny Sally's Soap Kitchen

It comes as no surprise that we love body care here at The Amazing Blog! This means Body Butter, Scrubs, and everything in between. So it comes as no surprise that we were very excited when we received a few products from Granny Sally’s Soap Kitchen. The name implies family, which is exactly what it is. A homespun soap making company hailing from Edinburgh; Granny Sally’s is anything but ordinary. I was able to try two of Granny Sally's luscious Body Butters in Strawberry and Chocolate. What a sensation! They are absolutely delicious in terms of smell and feel. They include wonderful ingredients such as Shea Butter and Mango Butter, so they leave your skin feeling extremely soft while the whipped texture means they absorb quickly and keep the skin moisturised.  Granny Sally’s only uses the best natural ingredients with a vegetable or fruit base, so every product is free of synthetics. All available scents of the body butter include: Chocolate, Strawberry, Mango, Coconut, Vanilla Bean and Lavender.  At £4.00 each, you will surely want more than just one!

Another wonderful product we tried from Granny Sally’s Soap Kitchen is the Manna Soap Loaf, which smells just like Cinnamon Cake. It includes skin exfoliating ingredients like Oats, Almonds, and Poppy Seeds which are sure to get rid of all the nasty dead skin. I think this is a perfect product to use whenever you need a good scrub or even just once a week as a routine. The Manna Soap Loaf retails at £3.50. 'Shake Me Baby' from Pulpe De Vie

As a cosmetic lover, I am always on a search for the perfect make-up remover. It cannot be too oily, nor too drying. I also want something that will take my make-up off without me having to scrub for ages. You want to prep your face for the next step, which is cleansing, and you cannot properly do that if you still have residue on your skin. Alteya Organics - Rose Face Wash & Organic Bulgarian Rose Water

If there’s a topic that we love talking about at The Amazing Blog’s HQ is skincare – we all have grown into loving and taking care of our skin since we’re surrounded by beauty products 24/7. Our Executive Editor Edwina is very hot on using the right brands, looking up ingredients and using the best of the best for your skin. Having her wide skincare knowledge at our disposal on an everyday basis has definitely changed our mind set for good when it comes to taking care of our pretty faces.

Edwina herself and the girls at The Amazing Blog got overly excited when Alteya Organics products arrived to the office; Certified Organic Skincare with Roses as the main ingredient? Yes, please.

I have been using the Alteya Organics Rose Face Wash for a while now and I just love it. I was quite weary of using a gel cleanser of my skin, as previous experiences involving this consistency have been fatal, leading to overly dry skin. So before giving this face wash a go, I firstly read through its list of ingredients and immediately thought “this is beautiful”… and the very first use didn’t disappoint at all. The texture is something in between a gel and a liquid that when mixed with water, lathers up into this velvety and gentle foam. I massage this for a couple of minutes on my face and neck every morning and evening, take a flannel soaked in lukewarm water and rinse it. My skin feels hydrated and very clean after each use.

I pat dry my skin and I follow my regime with their Organic Rose Water. This water can be used after cleansing or having a shower, after sun exposure and working out too. I personally love multipurpose products; and this Rose Water has worked wonders as a toner. I spray in on my skin directly and let it soak in for a couple of minutes and then pat it dry with a cotton pad. After this step I apply my serums, treatments and moisturiser as usual.

My overview on Alteya Organics’ products is really positive. The products are Certified Organic, they are made from the most beautiful ingredients and they just work. I am really looking forward into trying more products by them!
