Collagen Masks- Beauty Pro

With the regular cold and gloomy weather, it's tough trying to persuade yourself to go out, and it's the same here at The Amazing Blog. We love spending nights in, and what's better than relaxing with a face mask? That's where Beauty Pro’s Collagen Face Masks come in.

Beauty Pro have developed a wonderful line of products to help your skin recover and recuperate this Winter. We tried the Rejuvenating and Brightening Collagen Masks, and were impressed with their effectiveness at livening up our complexions. Both are suitable for all skin types and have an anti-ageing formula. The Rejuvenating Mask has green tea extract and works to re-balance oily T-zones, hydrate dry areas and diminish fine lines as well as wrinkles. The Brightening Mask is the same in design, however the Vitamin C within the formula works to brighten the complexion and improve the elasticity of the skin.

The lightweight masks are really easy to use and the soft sheets are slightly scented but not overpowering, allowing you to relax for 15 minutes before taking them off. We loved how soft and smooth the masks left our skin and we particularly noticed a renewed vitality with the Brightening Mask.

Get the glow in time for Spring with Beauty Pro’s Collagen masks, at £2.45 each.

Rose Plumping Cleansing Oil - Dr Renaud

As the cold weather is firmly here to stay, with no end in sight, cleansing oils are becoming a firm favourite with us here at The Amazing Blog. We have been trying out the fabulous Rose Plumping Cleansing Oil, from the always brilliant French brand Dr Renaud It is a gentle cleanser that removes all makeup (yes, even waterproof!) while leaving your skin cleaner, softer.

Dr Renaud is a brand renowned for its innovative and scientific approach to skincare. This approach has resulted in a high performing line of products that target any and all concerns you may have; from acne to redness and hyperpigmentation Dr Renaud will have the fix. This particular cleansing oil is suited to all skin types, and may particularly be appreciated by older skins, due to the cleansers non-drying formula.

Our favourite thing about this oil is that it’s full of wonderful, natural, skin-loving ingredients. It contains the active ingredients Rose Centifolia, Vitamin E, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Macadamia Oil. Whilst the rose and Vitamin E work to erase pigmentation and produce a clear complexion, the three nut oils condition and leave our skins plump and soft. The texture of the cleanser is lovely and light, turning into a milky emulsion on contact with water. You simply need to put a small amount in your hands to gently warm the oil and then apply to a dry face. After massaging the face, add water and rinse away the emulsified oil with fingers or a flannel. Your skin will be left feeling calmed and refreshed! The Rose Plumping Cleansing Oil is brilliant for fighting dryness and dehydration, so your skin will feel nourished and protected against the harshest and cruellest elements!

You can buy 200ml of Dr. Renaud’s Rose Plumping Cleansing Oil here for £25.

YouthRenew Tinted Cream- Pevonia

At The Amazing Blog we are always looking for innovative brands with products that have exciting ingredients and ideas and Pevonia is one we have always valued and trusted. We recntly tried one of their products; the YouthRenew Tinted Cream.

We love Pevonia because not only do they offer a large line of products but they strive for high quality and innovative formulations. Originally created for spa retreats, Pevonia now offers products for homecare using the finest natural marine and botanical ingredients from only the very best sources. The brand has used this mix of quality ingredients with its team knowledge to create products that are suitable for treating any type of skin issue you may be having.

Pevonia uses naturally green, cruelty free formulas in their products. The YouthRenew Tinted Cream has an SPF of 30, which protects and prevents harmful UV rays damaging the skin. Even though it is only a tinted moisturiser, it has a decent medium coverage and acts as a famtastic base for other make-up. You apply the product by blending it evenly over the face and neck witheither your fingers or a brush. We loved how smooth and clear our skin looked after applying it, and really appreciated how the cream doesn’t sit in any cracks and is not sticky at all. While it comes in only one shade it still works very well as a primer for other foundations, so it doesn't look right for your skin tone you could still use it.

For a flawless base with high sun protection, you can pick up Pevonia YouthRenew Tinted Cream here for £45.00.

Hand-Crafted Skincare - Te Mana

Here at the Amazing Blog, we know that it is rare to find an entire skincare line that you can fall in love with; it is often the case that some products work brilliantly for you but some you may not get along with. Finding a brand that is "all killer no filler" comes once in a blue moon and we think we have found it with Te Mana.

Founded in New Zealand, Te Mana is a hand-crafted skincare range that offers the best ingredients from the region. The founders have developed unique products which are derived from native botanicals, while respecting Maori traditions. We were lucky enough to try the whole range, which consisted of five products all containing a combination of natural and active botanicals such as Manuka Honey, Merino Wool Proteins, Zealong tea, and Pine Bark Extract. These ingredients are sustainably sourced from the remote Antidopean Islands and have fantastic antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties.

Starting with Te Mana's High Performance Cleansing Gel, this is a very effective yet gentle facial cleanser. Formulating powerful antioxidants, the cleanser removes impurities and make-up whilst leaving the skin soft and balanced. It is a fuss free product and works wonderfully with their Radiance Infusing Essence, a serum which fights to prevent free radicals, targets wrinkles and lack of firmness to produce a youthful complexion.

The range includes two moisturisers that target different concerns. The first, Time-Release Hydration, prevents and fights water-loss to provide nourishment and intense moisture. This works brilliantly on dry skin, protecting it in colder environments. The other cream is the EXQ Pro-Collagen Complex - a bioactive day cream formulated to combat skin aggressors such as pollution as well as prevent aging. The product contains skin-loving proteins that leave the skin hydrated whilst battling imperfections.

Last in Te Mana's range is the Vitamin C4 Oil Elixir, a lovely little oil which brightens and hydrates for radiant skin. The product is full of ingredients we love such as Vitamin C, Rosehip Oil and the unique addition of New Zealand Kiwi seed oil. The concentrated elixir repairs the skin and helps to protect it, effectively diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

You can buy the Te Mana range from the Natural Skincare Company here from £29.95.

Face Masks - Friday Favourites

In the middle of our busy schedules, it is important to have some 'me-time' and finally get to pamper ourselves a little bit and what could be more perfect for the weekend ahead. Here at The Amazing Blog we've got it covered with these fabulous face masks taking their ingredients from around the world.

The first face masks we recommend are from Oh K. The brand is known for its cute and quirky packaging and this product is no exception. Their Coconut Water Face Masks take inspiration from Korean sheet masks, and provides intense hydration.

This particular mask feels really cool and soothing on the skin, and after a long week this is the perfect thing to just stop and relax. Cleanse the skin and apply the mask over the face, making sure to align the eye and mouth holes correctly. We recommend leaving the mask on for 15-20 minutes, this way you will really feel the added moisture in your skin. With any residue left on the face, simply massage into the skin until absorbed or remove with a cotton pad.

You can get three Oh K. Coconut Water Masks here for £8.00.

Acne, dryness, and dullness can all be improved with a quick intensive mask. To this end, we loved the selection from the brand Vitamasques. They have designed their face mask products to ensure they benefit and improve the skin, using their innovative Korean technology.

In their Korean Collection we received a Hydro Face Mask that claims to give 120 hours of hydration.  It is recommended that you cleanse and tone your face before applying the mask, and leave on for 20-30 minutes. The Hydro Face mask will enhance the skin's ability to retain moisture, plus it has extracts from the rose of Jericho which will improve the clarity of the skin.

In their fruit range, each mask has a tailored purpose, and we really liked the Pomegranate face mask. The texture of the mask felt ultra soothing on the skin and felt like it was benefiting the skin. This pomegranate face mask works by firming and lifting the skin whilst adding moisture to the face. An added bonus is the triple layer-sheet technology; this will enhance the moisture and will increase the absorption rate too.

Keep your skin moisturised and soothed with the Hydro Face Mask here for £7.99 and you can get the Pomegranate Face Mask box of 4 here for £12.99.

When it comes to anti ageing, Time Less Truth Mask has the solution for “ageless beauty”. They created the award winning TT Glacial Snow Algae & Hyaluronic Acid Bio Cellulose Mask using plant extract derived from the snowy mountains of Switzerland. The Snow Algae is an anti-ageing solution that optimises the skin's collagen production to restore youthfulness to the skin cells. Apply the mask after cleansing and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. The blue serum contained in the bio cellulose cloth is absorbed easily by the skin and helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles

Treat your skin with TT Glacial Snow Algae & Hyaluronic Acid Bio Cellulose Mask regularly for a younger complexion here for £7.90.

Finally, we love fruity masks and their scents, they remind us of warm weather and Summers in the sun. It’s never too early to start getting ready for Spring/Summer and we did it with the British brand Ooharr.

The range includes Fruity Magic, a rejuvenating mask and Juicy Burst, a nourishing cream mask. Fruity Magic uses Pomegranate along with ingredients such as Green Tea, Aloe, Honey, Vitamin A, C and E to soothe, regenerate and detoxify your skin. Juicy Burst utilises Orange, Lime, Cucumber and Calendula to refresh, soothe and create a clear complexion. Our complexions felt soft and flawless after leaving these masks on for 10 to 15 minutes.

Give your skin an antioxidant boost with Ooharr, and try the Fruity Magic or the Juicy Burst masks for £1.20 here each.
