Beauty UK Posh Pout Lip Crayon Collection

BLOG image With the change in seasons we often find that our wardrobes tend to get darker and we lose all our bright summery colours. However we love to bring back a pop of summer colour with our lips. Like girls, here at The Amazing Blog office, we love trying out new lipsticks, glosses and balms in an array of different shades depending on the mood, season and, of course, outfit. So, we are happy to tell you all about one of our new favourite lip collections, Posh Pout by Beauty UK.

Beauty UK’s Posh Pout lip crayons are the perfect handbag accessory for girls on the go. These lovely lip crayons are not only highly pigmented, but also work to hydrate your lips and prevent the cold Autumn weather from drying them out. The intense burst of colour is relatively long lasting and leaves a stain on the lips, so even when the product wears off, the colour still remains, keeping your lips perfectly kissable all day long.

These fantastic lip crayons come in six different shades, all of which are bright and bold, perfect for cheering up any winter outfit. This includes Big Pinkin, a Barbie pink that Nicki Minaj would be proud of, Would I Lilac To You, is a beautiful soft lilac shade that is something a bit different to our normal go-to lip shades. Power to the Purple, is an elegant plum colour that is perfect for creating the Autumn berry lip. How Nude, is probably the tamest of the shades and is sheer and simple, we think this is a great shade for when you want your eyes to do the standing out. Corally Incorrect is a gorgeous summery coral that would work well to bring a burst of warmth and colour to the colder months and finally Sugar Plum Fairy, a frosted plum hue that is pearly and wonderful for Christmas time.

We think that the Posh Pout lip crayons are a must-have for any lip fanatics because the shades on offer are so vivid and there is a colour suitable for every taste. The office favourite was Corally Incorrect as it is such a classic shade that can go with virtually anything, Summer or Winter, it is just so versatile. However, we also loved Would I Lilac To You, as it is a little bit different and definitely a shade that used to be outside of our colour comfort zone.

If you are keen to experiment with your lip colours, then you can get your hands on your very own Posh Pout lip crayon for a mere £2.99 each; either from the Beauty UK website or from Superdrug.

Uslu Airlines Lipstick in HOH

usluimage1Summer: a time for Destination Vacations, Fun, and of course new Cosmetics! When it comes time for summer, I am always eager to try new products. In my mind, it is a time for bright weather, and even brighter lipstick. We received Uslu Airlines new HOH Lipstick here at The Amazing Blog, and this has been the perfect opportunity to use it.

Uslu Airlines is a German Luxury Cosmetic brand that is breaking ground in the terms of colour and formulation. Each product is named after an Airport somewhere in the world, from the most well known, like JFK, to the most small and obscure. Uslu Airlines even ‘likes to call their products destinations’ themselves.

The HOH Lipstick was born out of the collaboration between Uslu Airlines and Susanne Kaufmann, an organic beauty expert. Kaufmann’s ‘Organic Treats’ line is having their 10th anniversary this year, and with it comes the HOH Lipstick which is named after the Hohenems Airport in Austria. The first thing I noticed about the lipstick is the sleek packaging. Just like an airplane; simple and modern. Open the tube, and wow! The brightest of corals is staring back at me. But don’t be afraid, this colour can really work on anyone. It is a rich red/pink with just a hint of orange. These three tones mean it will work on virtually any shade of skin. And as we all probably know, coral is the colour of the summer! The lipstick is formulated for ‘superior skin compatibility’ with Shea Butter and Vitamin E. HOH also has buildable coverage, so you can go from sheer to matte in just a few swipes. The lipstick was easy to apply and kept my lips moisturised all day. My only negative concerning the product is that the lipstick does contain synthetic ingredients.

Uslu Airlines HOH Lipstick is such a perfect choice for summer. From the juicy coral colour to the buildable coverage, it is sure to be one you won’t want to miss out on. It retails for €24.00 or £20.53 on their website.

Alva lipsticks

I’ve never been a fan of nude lipsticks. If, two weeks ago, someone asked me my opinion on them I would’ve said something like: “I find them rather pointless… I’d rather wear lip balm”. Nude lipsticks are difficult to wear – some can make you look like you’re dead, and others can make your lips look chapped… However, when a nude lipstick is the correct colour for your skin and lip pigmentation, the effect is absolutely stunning. Two weeks ago I came across with Alva and their certified organic make up range, and their lipsticks impressed me very much.

These lipsticks are enriched with Castor Oil (guarantees a silky feel to the lips), Apricot Oil, natural Vitamin E, Indian Pongamia Glabra seed oil and Cocoa Butter to nourish and deliver moisture. The texture of the lipsticks is creamy and moisturising, perfect for the colder months. My favourite shade of the whole range is Pearl Pink, a sheer light pink perfect for everyday wear – it’s long-lasting and fades beautifully leaving a balmy feeling on your lips. Whenever it wears off and I don’t feel like applying more colour to my lips, I tend to pat lipbalm on my lips and I’m good to go.

Alva lipsticks’ colour range is limited but one can find beautiful Autumn/Winter colours such as Dark Red and Hot Red. At The Amazing Blog we’re very pleased with Alva’s lipsticks, they’re certified organic and vegan… and we’ve found the perfect everyday nude colour! (such an achievement for me…)

The lovely folks at Alva are offering an amazing promotion to our fellow readers – when purchasing any products from their website, type in promo code AMAZING20 on the checkout page to receive a 20% discount!

NATorigin lipsticks

When it comes to lipstick I have to admit that I never have enough. Since my first red lipstick when I was 17, my love for that make-up item has grown and grown with the years - I never have enough shades of red, I'm always in the hunt of the perfect matte non-drying formula, I love wearing vampy lips in winter, and paring an orange lipstick with full-on-nearly-spidery lashes is one of my favourite looks to rock. Lipstick makes me walk out the door with my chin up. One of the main qualities I look for in a lipstick, more than the staying power -that is important too when you're wearing a bold lipstick- is for it to keep my lips moisturised. Reapplying lip balm (especially if it's petroleum based) makes the surface of your lips too slippery for when you reapply the lip colour. When I found about NATorigin lipsticks I was glad to see that their texture and finish were similar to a coloured lipbalm - very moisturing and with the right hint of colour, perfect for everyday. These multi award winning lipsticks' ingredients are 100% naturally sourced and certified organic by Ecocert Greenlife. NATorigin lipsticks are super moisturising and hypoallergenic, formulated with orchid extract to provide an extremely soft and smooth texture that glides on the lips effortlessly. The lipsticks are very rich in organic waxes (carnuba wax, candelilla wax and beeswax), organic shea butter and organic oils (sweet almond oil, jojoba seed oil, sunflower seed oil, marula seed oil and castor seed oil) - they keep the lips protected, soft and juicy looking thanks to their sheer colour. NATorigin are gluten-free and considered beneficial for allergy sufferers based on consumer opinion and approved by Allergy UK - so they're literally suitable for everyone!

My favourite shade of the 6 they do is "Fig" - a beautiful reddy brown shade that instantly brightens my light and slightly warm complexion. This sheer and moisturising lipstick formula is perfect for those of you who'd like to wear bold lips but for some reason don't; whether because you're too shy or don't think bold lips suit you. They're pigmented without being over the top and wear off beautifully leaving a nice even stain on the lips.

At The Amazing Blog we're delighted with the NATorigin lipsticks - they're moisturing, the shade range is lovely and they're certified organic! These fabulous lipsticks retail at £15.50 and can be purchased from their website.
