Argania - Hair & Skin Products

Though the members of The Amazing Blog staff each have a mutual love for all things beauty, we also embrace the unique and wide array of skin and hair types we have in the office. As soon as Argania sent us their entire hair and skin collection, we were enthusiastic to experiment with each and every product.

The samples we received included the Desert Defence Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner, the Cashmere Hair Leave-in Conditioner Spray, the Perfect Texture Salt Spray and the Conditioning Body Oil. Such a bounty for our sun drenched tresses and skin!

We were pleased to find out that each product does in fact treat all kinds of different types of hair and skin. The Desert Defence Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner worked wonders on our co-worker with afro-caribbean hair, for it both restored her natural curl pattern and softened her hair. The Perfect Texture Salt Spray was able to give a lot of body to staff members with thinner locks, along with making it smell sweet and delicious. Finally, we all loved the Conditioning Body Oil for its wonderful vanilla scent and ability to be absorbed so quickly. Overall, the entire collection of Argania products was appreciated in our office, because they worked so well across a large spectrum of hair and skin.

Potion Shop - Love Potion Skin Bracer

Here at The Amazing Blog, we are always on the lookout for the most essential skin products that will keep us looking fresh and feeling smooth. Luckily for us, The Potion Shop sent us their Love Potion Skin Bracer, and now we can’t stop using it.

Thanks to the essential oils and anti-bacterial properties, unlike a toner, the bracer does not contain any added alcohol. Not only does Potion Shop make an effort to provide the most enjoyable experience for you and your skin, but they care about the environment as well.

Queen Cosmetics - Eye Restore Cream

They say that the eyes are the windows to the soul... We here at The Amazing Blog like to keep those windows shining and wrinkle free for the neighbours! While looking for a proper eye cream to keep our peepers fresh, we were lucky to find Queen Cosmetics Eye Restore Cream.

Queen Cosmetics was started by 3 dermatologists in the 1920’s to address the lack of hypoallergenic products for women with sensitive skin. This company has the know how to create a product that can solve skin problems, rather than exacerbate them. Since its start, the company has not turned their backs on products for sensitive skin, have also embraced environment friendly practices and kept their local ties to the community. Although the products themselves are not natural or organic, we did find that they are made with care and feel good on our sensitive skin.

We like that the eye cream is very light but at the same time silky and moisturizing to the eye area, it is unscented and absorbs into the skin almost instantly. It is supposed to be used twice a day to ensure the best wrinkle reducing and de-puffing effects. We felt that the gel-like cream was just the right formulation to be used twice daily on our sensitive eye area without any irritation.

Ancienne Ambiance - Luxury Goddess Soap Collection

As many of our daily readers know, we at The Amazing Blog love writing about small natural and organic brands. Already familiar with Ancienne Ambiance and their natural Candles, you can imagine we were quite excited to receive their new Luxury Goddess Soap Collection. And after opening the box, we were certain we would not be disappointed.

Inside the box were two individually wrapped Goddess Soap Bars that instantly caught everyone’s noses by surprise as a delightful lavender scent filled the air. Similar to their candles, Ancienne Ambiance offers wide variety of blends to choose from. While my personal favourite has to be the Lavendula, their other fragrances include Rose, Jasmine, Honey, Almond Milk and Argan. And top tip, put a just single bar in your wardrobe to rid any pesky bugs and keep your clothes smelling fresh - I recommend it. Each blend smells delightful but the unique ingredients of Ancienne Ambiance truly separate their soaps from other brands. Each 100mg bar is made from a natural vegetable oil base specifically derived from coconut oil.
