Obey Your Body - Bio Magnetic Facial Mask

Everyone’s heard of the Dead Sea, but do we really know what’s in it? The Dead Sea is one of the world’s saltiest bodies of water, making it too harsh an environment for animals. However, besides all of that salt, the Dead Sea actually produces minerals that are great for the body. Obey Your Body is one of the many companies that uses dead sea minerals in its products and we here at The Amazing Blog decided to give its Bio Magnetic Facial Mask a try.

Enriched with Tetrapeptide Decorinyl, the facial mask gives skin an instant firming lift. Containing energizing mineral-rich mud from the Dead Sea and nourishing and moisture-balancing plant oils, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and Shea Butter, the facial mask acts as both a facial cleanser and conditioner.

Although the mask is a little pricey, it lasts for a very long time. My only issue would be the amount of oil in the product. I was expecting it to turn hard the longer it was on my face, but it just remained oily. However, my skin did feel soft afterwards. I think this product would be best for people with dry skin because I just have too much oil on my face already!

For the best results, apply the mask gently to clean and dry skin with the enclosed spatula. Make sure you do not apply to broken, irritated, or problem skin. Leave the mask on the skin for 3-5 minutes and then take the comb, wrapped in tissue or paper towel, and remove the mask from the centre of the face outward. Only use it 1-2 times a week with an interval of no less than 3 days in between applications

You can purchase the Facial Mask here for £253

PUNKU Quinoa Cookies

In an endless quest to find alternatives for breads and pasta, Quinoa has started to become a staple in Western World diets. Even at The Amazing Blog we love to include Quinoa in our daily meals, which is why we jumped at the chance to try some of PUNKU’s range of organic Quinoa Cookies from Bolivia.

The company recently launched a new flavour of Orange & Cranberry to add to their Chocolate Chip and Orange & Mango flavours. These cookies contain superfood organic Royal Quinoa which is only grown in a specific region of Bolivia. Quinoa is a grain-like crop grown primarily for its edible seeds and it contains all the essential amino acids. Quinoa is also a good source of manganese, magnesium, iron, copper and phosphorus.

Each box contains 12 individually wrapped cookies. These cookies are wheat, gluten, dairy and egg free, which makes them suitable for all types of eaters. We loved the fruity flavours that satisfied our sweet tooth and the crunchiness of the quinoa.

Patricia Estivariz, the founder of PUNKU, grew up in Bolivia and wanted to introduce Bolivian foods to the UK. She imports the cookies from Bolivian suppliers who have developed education and health programs to assist their employees. That means that buying PUNKU’s products benefits hundreds of Bolivian families, giving them a better standard of living.

Not only do you get to indulge in these amazing and healthy cookies, but you get to support people in one of the poorest countries of Latin America. Who can say no to that?

The products are available to purchase in select food stores around the UK or directly online. Over the next couple of months, PUNKU will be introducing additional products so keep an eye out for those as well!

MuLondon Organic Marigold, Frankincense & Myrrh Face Moisturiser

MULDN blog image ready jepg.jpg

Who knew the wise men brought baby Jesus the perfect gifts to create a great moisturiser? We here at The Amazing Blog were lucky enough to stumble upon MuLondon’s The Organic Marigold, Frankincense & Myrrh Face Moisturiser.

Unlike most moisturisers, this product is not diluted with water. The company combined the perfect blend of organic Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, extracts of Marigold and Blue Chamomile, along with the essential oils of Frankincense and Myrrh to calm, balance and repair the skin. Together, the ingredients create an effective anti-inflammatory cream and produce oils that work wonders to repair your beloved skin. It’s no surprise it was a Bronze Award winner in the 2014 FreeFrom Skincare Awards in the Problem Skin category.

You can use this moisturiser anywhere on your body as either a day cream or night cream, but it is best to apply on moist skin. Although it is suited for dry and mature skin types, any skin in need of extra care or nutrients will benefit from this product. You can purchase it for £15 for 60ml at the MuLondon website.

NaturVits CoQ10

The weekend is over and now it’s time to get back to work. Here at The Amazing Blog Monday mornings can be a bit of a struggle for us, consuming several cups of coffee or tea to keep ourselves awake. Thanks to NaturVits CoQ10, we no longer need to drink an abnormal amount of liquids. These vitamin-like substances give our bodies the energy we need to make it through the day!

When ConCordix sent us their NaturVits CoQ10, we were very excited to try it out. Known as the Biochemical Sparkplug, CoQ10 appears naturally in every cell of our body in tissues with high energy requirements. However, as we age, our natural CoQ10 declines, making it essential to top-up on the substance because it promotes healthy heart function, protects against degenerative diseases and free radical damage to our skin and increases our energy.

I began taking these orange-flavoured gel supplements about two weeks ago and I definitely noticed an increase in energy right away. They are surprisingly delicious for a supplement and they contain only natural flavours, colours, and sweeteners. I just pop the chewable tablet in my mouth before breakfast and it’s as simple as that.

We suggest giving ConCordix NaturVits CoQ10 supplements a go from the bottom of our healthy hearts to yours. You can find them here for £14.99 for a pack of 30. That is less than 50p a day!
