Divine Herbal - Hair Repair Treatment

As much as we love our jobs here at The Amazing Blog, there are times, as in any line of work, where stress gets the best of us. Short of pulling out our own hair, we often find that our locks suffer the effects as much as we do. For this reason, we were so pleased to discover Divine Herbal’s Hair Repair Treatment, which made our hair feel thicker, softer and lusher in no time at all.

Packed with rich, antioxidant oils like Avocado Oil, Raspberry Seed Oil and Olive Oil, this is the perfect treatment for maintaining silky smooth tresses. Just a few drops from the glass bottle are enough to soften the hair and help repair the damage done by heat styling. Guilty of this, we were keen to put the oil to the test. A pipette of the elixir smoothed onto the hair and washed out after a couple of hours gave a deep conditioning treatment that most salons would be envious of. With no artificial ingredients or silicons, it provides a wonderful boost of nutrients and moisture to your hair, leaving it looking healthy, soft, and a lot more manageable after a stressful week!

Treat your hair to a boost of natural beauty with Divine Herbal’s Hair Repair Treatment. Grab the treatment here  for £20.99.

Clayspray - White Clay and Lavender Clayspray and Red Clay Claytherapy

Here at The Amazing Blog we love to use natural products for skin. When we received the White Clay and Lavender and the Red Clay Clayspray we couldn’t wait to try it.  It contains only pure ingredients, including clay, spring water, hydrogels and selected plant extracts.

The White Clay and Lavender Clayspray is a treatment ideal for purifying all types of skin and stimulating blood circulation. You can use it to soften your hands and arms, to deodorize your feet, relieve heavy legs and it has a lovely soothing lavender scent. It's the perfect way to relax your body and your mind after a long, stressful day in the office.

The Red Clay treatment is a specific face treatment to absorb impurities and sebum. This mask leaves your face looking good and your skin smooth and fresh. After using it for only two weeks my skin looked brighter and magnificently soft.

The clay is rich in minerals, ideal for its cosmetic and therapeutic properties: it purifies and removes impurities and toxins without affecting the skin's natural barrier. Clayspray uses different types of clay to respond to the needs of each skin type. The addition of a hydrogel ensures freshness and provides needed hydration for the skin. The Claysprays also come in clever container which only allows the amount you need to come out when you press it.

You can get the White Clay and Lavender Clayspray and the Red Clay Claytherapy here for £25 each.

Louise Young - Brushes

Here at The Amazing Blog, I’m sure that you are aware by now that we are self-confessed make-up mavens. A good eyeshadow or lipstick arriving in the office will make our day. That being said, we know that a great make-up artist is only as good as their tools.  So we were excited to trial the Louise Young Cosmetics brushes that landed on our doorstep, hoping that they would help us on our way to perfect make-up application.

We were lucky enough to receive a number of wonderful brushes from the collection, all of which we took great pleasure in using. Among our new stash was the LY48 Mini Super Foundation Brush. I’ve long been BeautyBlender convert, as I feel that it provides a more seamless application, but brush was super indeed, perfect for distributing my base, which I then proceeded to blend in with my fingers. I was also lucky enough to try out the LY37 and LY13 Mini Socket Brush. The former is labeled a Brow Brush, but I found that it was ideal for gel eyeliner, helping me to finally master that tricky feline flick. The latter was amazing for creating a smudged out look around the lash line. My smoky eye has never looked so great! What’s more, all of the Louise Young brushes are the creation of Louse Young herself, a highly acclaimed make-up artist, so you know you’re be getting great quality.

Apply your make-up with the skill of a professional, thanks to Louise Young Cosmetics. You can purchase the collection here, with prices ranging from £6 to £36. My favourites, the LY48 and LY37 retail for £19 and £9 respectively.

Friday Favourites - Sweet Treats

The weekend is nearly upon us and so is the urge to indulge, and here at The Amazing Blog we know just how!

For something wickedly moorish pick up a packet of Ultimate English fudge which champions local produce in the Yorkshire region.

Using rhubarb grown in the heart of the rhubarb triangle itself by celebrated farmer D Westwood & Sons, the companies’ new rhubarb coconut ice gives a nostalgic nod towards the childhood-cherished rhubarb crumble.

If you fancy something more traditional check out their All Butter Fudge or the Salt Water Chocolate Truffle Fudge which combines the finest all butter fudge with the highest quality Belgian chocolate which recently was awarded a gold star in the Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Awards.

You can purchase Ultimate English fudge via retailers across the UK. You can find your nearest stockist here.

If you’re after a slightly healthier option then look no further as Chocolift is a lactose free, no added sugar chocolate with sweeteners extracted from plants, 38% pure cocoa, 8.2g whey protein isolate and 2g of coconut oil. The blend of cocoa, whey protein and coconut oil is a great alternative for chocolate lovers on sugar and lactose controlled diets, and at only 89 calories per half a bar we think it’s a great diet friendly option.

You can buy an 8 pack of Chocolift bars for £28.65 here.

Here at The Amazing Blog we also love Sweet Virtues’ award winning luxury truffles, which are nutrient-dense and power-packed with more than five super food ingredients in every truffle. The raw centre is made up of a blend of Maca, Lucuma, Coconut Nectar, Carob, Ginseng, Sunflower Seeds and Ground Almonds mixed with 72% Organic raw dark chocolate with Bio Live Cultures. Each truffle is hand-made and is dairy-free, suitable for vegetarians, vegans and those on gluten-free diets.

Available in three delicious varieties, Maqui, Chia Seeds & Lime and Baobab & Vanilla, the truffles come in boxes of around 10 (£13.95 for 115g), or a two truffle ballotin box (selection pack containing one ballotin box of each variety for £7.50). Both are perfect as a unique and luxurious gift or the ultimate guilt-free treat for oneself.

The Sweet Virtues range is currently available with a number of retailers, including Harrods, Daylesford, Planet Organic and Partridges of London, or from the company’s website.

Last but not least, we all know that chocolate makes you feel good, and Lovechock does just that! Made by hand from the best organic, raw cacao from Ecuador, instead of being roasted the beans are cold grounded, providing a natural source of flavonoids and ‘love chemicals’-  goodies that make you feel happy and loving.

Lovechock is milk free, soy free and gluten free and is sweetened with Coconut blossom nectar, which has a low GI value and therefore keeps the blood sugar levels more stable than common sugars. All Lovechock products are 100% vegan (recognized by the Vegan Society) and come in a variety of flavours including Goji/Orange, Almond/Fig and Mulberry/Vanilla.

We’re also loving Lovechock Rocks which are a great snack for when you’re on the go. The rocks are fruits or nuts covered in raw chocolate and a pinch of reishi, and come in three different flavour combinations Mulberry/Hemp seed, Almond/Cinnamon and Raisin Coconut.

You can buy Lovechock products from Planet Organic, Real Foods and The HealthBay.
