Nail Lacquer - Roxanne Campbell

As nail art lovers, here at The Amazing Blog we know how a good manicure can give the final touch to every outfit. That is why we couldn’t be more excited when we received the new Summer range of nail polishes by Roxanne Campbell.

We tried two of these vibrant colours: “Violets Are Blue”, which is a pretty flashy blue and “Off to Jamaica” a warm and light orange tone.  What we liked the most about the Summer collection was its variety: from more subtle colours to flamboyant and energetic tints. You can use these delightful colours to play and match with your bikini look and they will let you enjoy until the last ray of sun by the pool as they are highly long lasting.

Roxanne Campbell mixed her past experience in Fashion Weeks, Nail Art at 2012 Olympics and her knowledge of nail art techniques to create high-quality nail polishes inspired by seasonal fashion trends and with a glossy effect when dried.

We cannot wait to try the Winter’s range but for now, uplift your outfit and get your favourite Summer colours here for £ 10 each.

Million Dollar Beard Oil - Captain Fawcett

Attention all gentlemen, The Amazing Blog has discovered a product that will make your beard feel like a million dollars. Captain Fawcett’s Beard Oil, more specifically, The Million Dollar Beard Oil is a product from their signature series. This was produced when the company collaborated with the founding ambassador of Beard Season and later cultivator of the world’s first Million Dollar Beard Oil- Jimmy Niggles.

The oil is crafted to have a fresh oceanic and earthy scent, topped with a touch of floral citrus, and a few luxurious flakes of 23-carat gold. The 50ml glass bottle, with a rubber pipette for precise dispensing, comes in sleek gold packaging to maximize the opulence of the product. To apply simply drop a small amount into your palms and gently comb through your beard, finely coating each hair, leaving your beard feeling a million dollars. In addition, inside the packaging you will find a little piece of card promoting Beard Season, which is a global movement turning beards into life saving conversation starters. The goal of the association is to get the public to check for skin melanoma more often. Proceeds from every bottle of Million Dollar Beard Oil go towards increasing awareness and action in the fight against this deadly cancer.

Multi-purpose hair products - Doop

Here at The Amazing Blog, we know how challenging it is to keep your hair in good form during a long day of intense work, especially when it comes to having difficult hair. Which is why we were excited to have the chance to try Doop’s products a hair care brand with a wide range of Multi-purpose hairstyling products.

Originally from Holland, this hair brand takes its edgy, cool inspiration from the street where they believe the best ideas come from. The products have been specifically designed and made by hair specialists with high quality ingredients to leave a natural look to your hair whilst helping you to style. The range is made up of 13 different serums suitable for all types of hair; we tried 3 products from the range, using Doop’s advice to get the perfect look. Firstly for long hair is The Saviour, this can be used to get a sleek or curly look. It’s best to apply when hair is still damp, and you can use a lot or little of the product as it leaves a natural shiny effect, leaving hair looking healthy rather than greasy. Next is The Catcher, this will make you feel proud of your curls, it’s great to use before blow drying whilst hair is still damp. It has medium to high hold and can be used on all lengths of hair. When used all over, this paste will activate the curls and give and hold them in place all day whilst adding shine for strong hair. Lastly we tried The Outsider, specifically made for short hair, this paste gives a super dry look. Simply rub a small amount into your palms and work through hair to create any style desired. We love their colourful tins and quirky names which reflect the character and variety of hairstyles that they cater for.

Why not log on to see which Doop tin suits you... They are £ 13.95 each and you can visit their website here to find your closest Doop stockist.

Little Known Box

Here at The Amazing Blog we can’t think anything that’s better than a beauty haul.  So we were excited when we came across Little Known box offering a mini beauty haul delivered to you every month. Little Known Box is a subscription service based brand, offering less well-known beauty brands with the focus on vegan and eco-friendly products, once a month.

As well as receiving 5-6 full sized products a month, there is a card with a bio for each brand, explaining their products alongside makeup artist Aimee Adams’ review of each.  We received the August box, the products included are Glittereyes pressed glitter, Amygdala beauty solid fragrance, Bardou dry shampoo, PHB eyeliner and Fairypants vegan lip balm. The variety of the products within the box makes it exciting, with it being August, the box is focused on Summer social events like BBQs, races and weddings. The collection of products are great for the theme, firstly the Glittereyes pressed glitter in Rosegold. The pigmentation of this glitter is perfect; we were also amazed that the glitter stayed put all evening with no need for any type of adhesive. The solid fragrance by Amygdala was a new idea for us, rather than a conventional spray, the scent is within wax so when applied to skin works the same as a scent, without the alcohol or irritants found within perfume sprays. Dry shampoo is a regular guest in the beauty routine for most busy women, the convenience and ease it’s too good to pass by. Bardou’s Keratin enriched spray gives you the London salon experience at home. Joining Augusts’ line up is also PHB’s natural and organic eye liner in black, this brand is a family run business with award winning ethical beauty products. The eyeliner leaves the perfect line, thin enough for precise application whilst having decent pigmentation. Lastly in the August box is a vegan lip balm by Fairypants, keeping in the evening theme as its' flavour is Peach Bellini, the wax easily glides over the lips hydrating them and leaving them super soft.

The idea of discovering new or boutique brands is great as you know your mainstream brand isn't going to pop up and every month there are new surprise treats. The August box is on sale until September 20th or until it sells out, but with this line up we’re sure the next months' are bound to bring more joy.

To order your August box click here or sign up to receive the boxes monthly here, starting at £15.95 for a one off. We can't wait to see what's in September's!
