Spray and Glow and Coconut Tanning Water by UTan

It won’t come as a shock to any of you that we are huge fans of sunless tanning treatments at The Amazing Blog. We would happily trek half way around the world if it meant we could get our hands on the perfect sun-kissed tan in a bottle. Luckily for us though we don’t have to, as UTan is a Scottish company making creating glows to rival the French Riviera. What’s more, UTan is the original and very first tanning brand to combine skin toning and firming properties into self-tan solutions, helping you look more toned and bronzed in one fell swoop.  Their products promise to leave you looking better and browner without a hint of orange.

All UTan products are organic, odour-free DHA and we were lucky enough to sample two of their fabulous self-tanning products. The first was UTan’s new Coconut Tanning Water for the face. This product is infused with real coconut extract and vitamins and, due to the lightweight formula, it is a refreshing mist that develops in a sun-kissed glow in 4-6 hours. This product is fantastic, it subtly and gradually changes the face until it is the colour you want it to be. Furthermore, the tanning water is a brilliant primer and base for makeup to be built upon helping to even out skin tone. The Spray Glow was the second UTan product we sampled, and let us tell you now; this will become a firm favourite in your summer cosmetics bag and an essential part of your skin care routine. Enriched with glycerine and vitamin E this nourishing moisture spray can be applied in less than 60 seconds. It is a perfect way to both boost and maintains natural tans. What more could you want?

You can purchase the Refreshing Coconut Tanning Water here for £18.00 and the Spray and Glow here for £20.00

Dairy Free Chocolates – Moo Free

While going dairy-free is somewhat of a fad at the moment, it is so for a reason. Of course, some people are lactose-intolerant, but for the rest of us, we can acknowledge when maybe certain ingredients don’t agree with us or we don’t agree with the ethics behind the production process. When we here at The Amazing Blog heard about Moo Free, the leading ‘free from’ chocolate manufacturer, and their vast range of dairy free chocolate products, our ears pricked up. We were able to try the Original Chocolate Bar, the Caramelised Hazelnut Nibs Bar and the Cheeky Orange Chocolate Bar.

The chocolate recipe recently won the award for ‘Best Vegan Chocolate’ at the VegFest Awards 2016, as voted for by the public, and we can certainly see why. After sampling this assortment of goodies, we can most definitely vouch that it tastes just like regular dairy chocolate. Moo Free uses rice milk in lieu of cow’s milk, creating that ever-familiar delicious milk chocolate taste. This spectacular chocolate is not only free from dairy, but it is also free from gluten, wheat, lactose, soya and casein, completely vegetarian and vegan, and certified organic with ethically sourced ingredients. Colour us impressed.

Moo Free chocolate comes in a huge array of flavours and forms. Their baking drops are ideal for some delicious dairy free muffins or cookies, and their chocolate bars come in a whole range of additional flavours including fruit and nut, crunchy banana, mint and honeycomb. Moo Free even has advent calendars, chocolate Santas and Easter eggs.

You can find Moo Free products across thousands of stores across the UK, such as Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Asda. Find your nearest stockist here.

Friday Favourites - The Rosé Festival

Now, The Amazing Blog has a real treat for all you rosé fans out there. A brand new festival celebrating the beautiful pink drink is coming to London’s stunning Geffrye Museum in Shoreditch this summer. We guarantee that the inaugural launch of The Rosé Festival is not something you’ll want to miss. In fact, this is the UK's first and only festival dedicated to this beloved drink.

The event is expecting to welcome over 3,000 visitors and is taking place from Friday 21st – Sunday 23rd of July. This unique and wonderful festival will offer visitors the chance to not only sample different varieties of rosé from expert producers in all of its forms, both fizzy and still, but also learn from the producers who will share their knowledge and experience with guests. If you have always wanted to know what makes an excellent rosé, and how to distinguish between the variations of the drink then you must attend this event. We cannot stress the abundance of rosé that you’ll be surrounded by, which for many of us will be a dream come true.

However, if rosé is not your drink of choice then never fear as producers will also display a range of their other products including Ciders, Vermouths, Prosecco and other Sparkling Wines. Alongside all of this will be a vast array of carefully selected British food vendors for you to enjoy and discover. What’s more is that between every sip and bite you’ll be entertained. The festival will be hosting a mix of Shakespeare recitals, jazz bands and Opera and DJ sets, as the festival plans to welcome young, up and coming British talent.

So if enjoying some wine, food and culture sound like your kind of day then you can purchase tickets here for £15.00. £1 of every purchase will be donated to the Geffrye Museum.

Moonlight Dust Daily Cream and Hydration & Rejuvenation Hand Cream - Dr. Gabriela

Dr. Gabriela runs a cosmetic clinic on Harley Street and is a pioneer in the anti-ageing industry. She has introduced innovative non-invasive treatments to the UK and continually works to expand her anti-ageing skincare range. We here at The Amazing Blog, therefore, feel confident putting our skin in Dr. Gabriela’s (probably wrinkle-free) hands. We were able to test out two products from the range; The Moonlight Dust Booster Day Cream and the Hydration & Rejuvenation Hand Cream.

The Moonlight Dust Daily Cream comes in a day or night version, made for the face, neck and décolletage. The day cream feels lightweight yet softening and hydrating. It is rich in molecular water, botanical extracts and antioxidants. This cream doesn’t just sit on top of the skin feeling greasy, it soaks right in and hydrates at a cellular level, whilst strengthening the skin barrier. If you need even more intense hydration, the night cream consists of 100% molecular water. It is basically a tall glass of water for the skin.

Hands can often unwillingly reveal your true age, or perhaps even appear older as we don’t always include them in our anti-ageing routine. The Hydration & Rejuvenation Hand Cream boasts 72-hour hydration with its molecular water technology delivering hydration deeper than just the surface. The cream is easily absorbed, allowing you to swiftly carry on with your day as it shields your hands from harmful external factors. In fact, 100% of consumers reported a reduction in wrinkles and 75% of consumers reported softer skin and stronger nails.

Purchase the face cream for £79 and the hand cream for £20. As you cannot purchase Dr. Gabriela products online, you can email them at info@drgabriela.co.uk or call them at 02034902798.

We have, for a long time now, been in love with Eye of Horus. Not only are their cosmetics fabulous and long-lasting, but they are cruelty-free, vegan-approved, paraben free and rich in precious oils and waxes.  There is a reason that this brand continues to pick up award after award, most recently winning Best Mascara and Best Eyeliner at the 2017 Beauty Shortlist Awards, and it’s because of the quality of their ingredients. Their new Brow Fibre Extend collection continues to incorporate ancient ingredients to deliver the highest quality products possible to make you feel like a real goddess. The Brow Fibre Extend is the first of a few exciting products that Eye of Horus is releasing over the next few months, so watch this space!
