With the warm weather and excitement of summer fast approaching, we at The Amazing Blog are always on the lookout for new activities and we have found the perfect hangout spot: Dabbers Social Bingo. Gone are the days of tea, corny hosts, and boring prizes. Dabbers Social Bingo has reinvigorated the classic British game and is open every day of the week in East London (18-22 Houndsditch).

As the UK’s first contemporary bingo hall, Dabbers Social Bingo combines elements of the beloved game with a modern twist. The bingo hall has pyrotechnics, bright lights, and a high-quality sound system to create an atmosphere that makes you feel energetic and ready to play for prizes, one of which includes an exclusive weekend getaway. Founder and entrepreneur Ed Wethered — in partnership with the creators of Musical Bingo, Gospeloke, and Comedy House Partyopened the hall in December 2018 to celebrate the classic game with friends or new acquaintances.

Dabbers Social Bingo offers the perfect summer escape to have fun, reminisce with the lobby memorabilia, and compete against old and new friends.

The hall is open seven days a week with a different theme every night from Disco Bingo on Saturdays to Dabbers Social Bingo Club on Mondays. Tickets are available here from £12 and be quick as they are  often a sell-out.

The Cockney'tivity – A Very Cockney Christmas Story

We love Christmas at The Amazing Blog. It is a beautiful and loving time spent with all the people you love most in the world, especially family. But before the big day, we like to have a special dinner with our best friends where we exchange gifts, play games, laugh and drink a bit too much. As fun as this is though, it can be a bit tiring, especially if you are the one cooking and even worse if you are cooking again a few weeks later! So we were positively giddy when we came across the Cockney'tivity – A Very Cockney Christmas Story.

The Cockney’tivity is a Christmas dining experience that features three short acts of hilarious festive drama surrounding a delicious three-course meal in an authentic east end pub. As you enter The North Star, you’ll take a seat at the Christmas dinner table and enjoy your meal as the drama unfolds around you, ending with a hilarious and raucous finale that will have you dancing on your chairs.

The London Bierfest

While beer-garden season may be long gone, that doesn't mean that we Brits need to give up one of our very favourite tipples. The skies may be grey, the wind may be lethal and the rain may be torrential, but if you're feeling the onset of the impending winter blues, what better way to abate them than by sipping on a nice pint (or several) of beer?

Taking place from Wednesday 3rd to Friday 5th October, The London Bierfest is a must-do for anyone fond of a pint, who has neither the funds nor the inclination to cross the channel to Munich for their 16-day celebration of beer (which includes us at The Amazing Blog). Held in the City's Old Billingsgate Market, The London Bierfest is in its tenth year and offers the perfect opportunity to network, entertain or, indeed, relax with friends and colleagues over a pint of beer.

Old Billingsgate Market will be transformed into a traditional Oktoberfest, buzzing with live music, dancing and a plethora of entertainment. Washed down with unlimited Bitburger beer and authentic German food, there's no danger of going without while at The London Bierfest. Having hosted more than 30,000 guests since its conception in 2003, both the atmosphere and entertainment is unrivalled and a night of fun and frolics is guaranteed.

No Bierfest would be complete without costumes, so fancy dress is encouraged and fun accessories can be bought from the Bierfest merchandise booth. With a whole host of hats, moustaches and wigs to choose from, you'll be spoilt for choice and sure to get into the spirit of Oktoberfest.
