A few weeks ago we told you about the TalkHealth online forum where you could voice your comments and concerns on sun safety, yesterday we reviewed the Kalis Sun Cream, and today we're bringing you Superdrug's partnership with The Mole Clinic, a scheme where you can get any areas of concern checked out at Superdrug locations across the country.
The skin cancer screenings at Superdrug are making skin cancer screening more accessible to people across the country - since 2007 over 7,500 checks have been performed. The service is provided by fully trained nurses, and the technique is completely non-invasive. The Digital Dermoscopy is the latest technology in skin cancer detection, as it captures highly magnified images of moles, which can then be referred to specialists if necessary.
The Mole Clinic is the UK's leading independent screening & diagnostic centre for skin cancer. A single Mole Check costs £30 and a full body Mole Check of every visible mole costs £95, but you can't put a price on your health. All of the nurses at Superdrug can offer a free melanoma risk assessments, with a five-minute consultation and evaluation.
