Real Taste of Food Writing

In today's day and age anyone can start up a blog. Whether it's for beauty, fashion, or lifestyle, the opportunities are endless, after all, The Amazing Blog covers anything and everything! However, not everyone has the natural knack for writing, and for all you food bloggers out there, Nikki Spencer and Guy Awford have the solution to your writing woes: the Real Taste of Food Writing Course!

If you have an appetite for words but need a bit of a boost with your style or content then the "Real Taste of Food Writing" course is for you. The course is led by food columnist and Guild of Food Writers member Nikki Spencer, and is for anyone and everyone with a passion for food writing. On the course you'll learn essential skills to enhance your blog, and also receive a 3-course lunch with a question and answer section. The classes take place at Guy's restaurant, Guy Awford at the Guildford Arms in Greenwich.

For anyone at a loss for content, on the course you'll learn how to pitch to editors, write reviews and blogs, and come up with original and innovative content. Nikki hopes to give attendees a unique experience, where along with hearing her unique perspective they'll be given the chance to describe their food and interview the chef that cooked it - what better experience can you get?!

The course will be running for 5-weeks, and there are still spots available.  Sign up for the course at the Greenwich Community College website, each class is £65 including the three course lunch.

The Wednesday Fayre

So finally, it looks as though us Londoners can enjoy some Summer weather now that August is here. I’m so ready to put on my jean shorts, brightly coloured vests and sandals and have some much needed girl time in the sun. If you find the city center too busy and suffocating in the heat (as the Amazing team do) then you will be pleased to know Greenwich Market has thought of just the thing.

The Wednesday Fayre kicks off tomorrow (3rd August) and will be open to the public every Wednesday for the duration of August. Besides the unique art shops, vintage fashion boutiques, antique stalls and famous pubs that Greenwich Market is known for, the Fayre will also provide a great variety of food stalls for foodie’s - especially those wanting to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea! Visitors to the Fayre can sit in Flowerhouse’s pop-up English garden and chat with friends, sample the delicious range of cream teas and assorted Summer treats from Ms Cupcake or indulge with Lhic’s luxury homemade ice creams whose ingredients are sourced from local Kentish farms... YUMM! If you want to get creative you can decorate cup cakes with Ms Cupcake or try your hand at some arts and crafts with beaded jewellery at the Beadoir workshops too.

Delish food and shopping...now I’m seriously thinking about taking a half day off next Wednesday!
