Therapie - Himalayan Detox Bath Salts

blog I owe a big thank you to my dear friend Fiona at The Beauty Shortlist who yet again, first introduced me to another new brand Therapie  (in fact the Himalayan Detox Bath Salts won The Beauty Shortlist ‘Best Bath Salts 2013 Award’). So you can imagine how thrilled we were when they arrived at The Amazing Blog for us to try. We unanimously concluded that this is a very special brand indeed.  Michelle Roques O’Neil is the name behind the brand (and also hailed by Vogue as one of their top 10 aromatherapists) and what we love is that she is very passionate about all her products.

In fact, each of her products are lovingly hand-blended and designed to help us all create more ‘me time’. They are truly nurturing. Perfect for those of you, who like me, are time poor, on the go and constantly clock watching. When I first used these extraordinary Himalayan Detox  Bath Salts in my bath at the end of the day, I quite literally felt like I’d ‘washed awaymy everyday tensions and stressit was glorious. The pink mineral salts are instantly effective by drawing out physical toxins and helping your body find an equilibrium.  These Himalayan Detox Bath Salts contain a combination of genuine Himalayan Salts, Geranium, Rosewood, Patchouli, Lavender, Juniperberry Lemongrass, Grapefruit and powdered Amethyst. All of these ingredients are designed to work together balancing  pH levels and the positive and negative ions.  I also used these Detox Bath Salts in conjunction with the rather wonderful Cherish skin repair body serum  which Fiona from The Beauty Shortlist also recommended. It has an exotic sweet floral fragrance with Ylang Ylang paired with soft, green Rose Geranium illuminated with sweet fresh citrus notes and a dusky hint of Musk. It has revitalising, healing and skin boosting essential oils, all of which help to condition, repair and protect.  The end result is fabulously toned and lustrous skin. Totally delicious!

So, if you too have been run-ragged all week and are in need of some serious revitalisation then I cannot recommend these Therapie products highly enough. Each of Michelle Roques-O’Neil’s products are specifically developed for the body and you’re in for a big treat not only physically but also mentally. After just one bath and body treatment I promise that you’ll sleep like a baby! We are very fortunate to offer a limited time discount code for the Himalayan  Detox Salts 500gm pouch. Simply enter AMZ20 and receive 20% OFF the retail price. This discount begins today and is valid through the 30th of June. While the discount only applies to the 500gm pouch their other products are surely well worth the price. Fashion Space Gallery

Anyone who's anyone knows that one of the two most important events in the fashion calender starts today - Spring/Summer's London Fashion Week. And thus, the creme de la creme of the fashion industry are jetting in from all over the world to our buzzing capital in order to bear witness to both legendary and up-and-coming fashion designers.

And for those who aren't in the elite glitterati of the fashion industry, there are a whole host of exciting events and exhibitions to coincide with the upcoming catwalk frenzies. From fashion themed nights to special events at some of London's most fashionable of shops, there's certainly no need to miss out on all the action.  And here at The Amazing Blog, one of our personal favourites is the Fashion Space Gallery at London College of Fashion, which opened on the eve of London Fashion Week. Offering the perfect opportunity for fashion fans alike, The Fashion Space Gallery is showcasing some of the UK's most exciting emerging designers.

With the designs of a number of raw talents, including Derek Lawlor, Fyodor Golan, Felicity Brown and Una Burke, The Fashion Space Gallery gives visitors an exclusive insight into the future of fashion. And what binds this group together is their imperative attention to detail, craftsmanship and execution that define fashionable dress at its highest level, yet demonstrates radically innovative approaches to materials and construction.

Each designer has an impeccable CV, and their unique work makes for a truly impressive exhibition. Design duo and celebrity favourite Fyodor Golan, have been described by Roland Mouret as being "unique and stubborn'  and their unique couture-level creations won them this year's prestigious Fashion Fringe award. Meanwhile, knitwear specialist Derek Lawlor, who has been credited by Vogue's Sarah Mower as producing 'fabulous knitwear' has built up a strong following since graduating in 2009 from Central Saint Martins.

And so, whether you're a fashion fanatic or simply want a taster of what's to come in the world of fashion, shimmy on down to the Fashion Space Gallery, located in the heart of the West End at the London College of Fashion flagship site, running until the 7th April.

Festive Fashion

Christmas always brings with it the age-old dilema of wanting to avoid frostbite without sacrificing in the style stakes. Bare legs are no longer appropriate attire, however slathered in self tan they are, and leaving the house without gloves often results in a rather unattractive blue tinge on one's hands. Thus, we've searched far and wide for some hidden gems that will keep you both feeling warm and looking hot!

For anyone wanting to cover up a pasty set of pins without opting for the middle-aged staple of 20 denier tights, help is at hand. Put an extra sparkle in your outfits this season with the Classic Crystal Hosiery Collection from Candy Baker.  The collection features subtle and sexy designs that are sure to catch some admiring glances and well-deserved compliments.  This unexpected touch to traditional hosiery is a glamorous and flattering way to accessorize anything from the classic LBD to an edgier party ensemble. The Back Seam: £33.

If you're looking for some sumptuous accessories, Aruna Seth is a well-respected name in the shoe world and her unique designs are characterised by Swarovski Crystals and impeccable trims.  No stranger to the red carpet, Aruna’s exquisite designs are the ultimate in evening wear elegance and come in a series of matching sets such as the red satin and butterfly.  With accessories these decadent and show-stopping, who needs a dress? Clutch Bag: £355.

You may recognize some of Baronessa’s designs from the pages of your favourite magazines and newspapers as the jewellery brand’s knack for affordable luxury has landed it in good favour with likes of Vogue.  Baronessa calls itself jewellery to fall in love with, and it’s girly and elegant designs might have you doing just that.  With its midrange prices, don’t be fooled- Baronessas pieces have a classic and timeless quality and they may just become the centrepieces of your jewellery collection. Gold Hammered Bracelet: £35.

And in keeping with the staying warm but stylish theme are these beautiful animal print cashmere scarves from www.black.co.uk. Etheral in appearance and featherlight in texture, these luxurious scarves are a fantastic alternative to a thick cable knit that, although warm, is hardly the ideal pairing with a LBD. Made from pure cashmere and gauze woven, a method that creates an ultra-light tactility, these are the ultimate in festive finery. Prices start at £125 and the scarves are available in four prints - peacock, giraffe, leopard and anaconda snake. They are also offering a 10% discount to readers of this blog just enter AMAZING10 on the check out.

Finally, for a one-stop shop for perfect presents is Lusso-London, which offers divine accessories and clothing sourced from around the world. Taking their name from the Italian for luxury, Lusso-London stocks a whole host of decadent gift ideas, whether treating yourself or buying for a loved one. We think these red and grey woolen gloves are perfect for winter, and adore their unique two-tone design. Also available in grey/purple and brown/green colour combinations, they make an ideal accesorry for a post-roast country walk. Woolen gloves: £40.
