Dr Russo - Once A Day Sun Protection SPF 30 & SPF 50 Invisible Face Gel

Good skin starts with prevention, and here at The Amazing Blog we’re always on the lookout for the best SPF and suncare. Today we’ve got one of our #amazingfinds, meet Dr Russo’s Sun Protection Invisible Face Gel ideal for protecting the complexion and combatting harmful rays when out and about.

The founder Dr Luca Russo is renowned internationally for his work in reversing sun damage and premature ageing. He is a London-based cosmetic and dermatologic surgeon who lecturers on skin rejuvenation. This sun protection gel features Dr Russo’s innovative long-wear SPF technology that creates a force-field on the skin to deflect the harmful sun’s rays. His philosophy is to protect the skin with broad-spectrum SPF 30 and SPF 50 sunscreens and potent antioxidants throughout the day, followed by reversal agents that stimulate new collagen production and repair all signs of photo-ageing. The beneficial ingredients are antioxidants, such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and ferulic acid. All of these repair existing signs of DNA damage, inhibit tyrosinase, help to maintain elastin and collagen levels, reduce glycation of proteins and soothes inflammation, so the skin becomes stronger, more luminous and resilient. These ingredients also help repair existing signs of damage, as well as stopping the production of melanin which causes dark spots. The product is free from PABAs, parabens, artificial fragrance and compatible with all sensitive skin types.

The formula is light-weight, non-greasy, and does not leave a chalky film on the skin, making it perfect to wear everyday under makeup. Protect, moisturise and repair your complexion with a single sweep with this once a day application.  It keeps skin protected and is waterproof and sweatproof for up to 80 minutes. The product comes in SPF 30 and SPF 50 variants, to apply, use the unique click brush applicator, sweeping the product over the face and neck area. It retails for £26 for 15ml and can be purchased here. In a 15ml bottle, this is the perfect size for your handbag or to take on a bike ride.

Tangle Angel Brushes

We still remember here at The Amazing Blog, what a nightmare it was getting our hair combed when we were kids. Today, thanks to the Tangle Angel Brushes, that memory is luckily fading.

First of all let us tell you how pretty and magical they look. The back of the brush is decorated with a pair of angel wings, while the front is in a gorgeous heart-shape. But not only are they beautiful the Tangle Angel Brushes have a range of characteristics that set them apart from their competitors - antibacterial, anti-static, water and heat resistant. Designed by Celebrity & Royal Hairdresser, Richard Ward, the brushes contain "...scientifically developed bristles for easy, pain-free gentle detangling..." with each bristle placed at different heights to gently glide through your hair, unbinding every knot.

That means they’re ideal for any type of hair. Curly, long, thick or fragile, these heavenly tools will make brushing your favourite moment of the day. This year the brand decided to launch a new and catchy range of metallic colours, creating the Metallix Collection. We adore the Pop Purple but there's a colour to suit everyone; OMG Orange, Precious Pink, Totally Turquoise, Wow White, GR8 Graphite, Gorgeous Gold and Fab Fuchsia.

With Christmas just around the corner, this could be the perfect present for your family and friends. Get them all for only £14.95 here on Tangle Angel website.

Crumpled City Maps - Berlin

blog Since I absolutely love traveling to new countries and new cities and I recently decided to plan a weekend getaway to Berlin. With the help of Crumpled City Maps it was easy to make my way around the city and go to different museums, galleries, and see the different architecture. At The Amazing Blog we like to test out new products that have an edge to them. Crumpled City Maps truly are the “maps of the future”.

Crumpled City Maps puts a unique twist to the original square paper map. These maps are meant to be crammed into your pockets (or in their little pooch that they come with)  and are 100% waterproof. are printed on lightweight, flexible material - so practical; where as we all know that  'folding' a regular paper maps is a bit of art form!  So when I travelled to Berlin I just casually stuffed the map into my pocket everytime after looking at it. It was raining the entire weekend, and the joy of having a robust map that was completely undamaged - was priceless. These maps also provide 10 “Soul Sights” which are specially chosen places around the city that might be of specific interest. I decided to go to Shadows of Memory, which was the 4D Holocaust Memorial. It was absolutely breathtaking to see how thousands of pillars were evenly spaced around the centre of Berlin. I found the memorial quite emotional, remembering the 6 million victims of the Holocaust. Overall the map was easy, convenient and really helped me get around the city – especially in the rain!

Since they feature over 30 cities worldwide I will definitely be buying another one of  these Crumpled City Map when I next travel.  Not having to deal with the tedious task of folding (and unfolding) the map as well as being able to use it in the rain really helped reduce the stress that comes with travelling in a strange city. For only £10 you can have your very own Crumpled City Map they are available from good map and bookshops like  Stanfords, Foyles or Volte Face
