Korres - Wild Rose CC Cream

There are often days that we don’t want to wear a full face of make-up, yet we still want radiant, even skin. Here at The Amazing Blog we have found the perfect product to make this possible, the Korres Wild Rose CC Cream, a naturally formulated tinted moisturiser with colour correction and sun protection.

The cream can be applied either with fingers, a brush, or a damp sponge to give even coverage, and is easily buildable with an extra coat. This CC cream provides the benefits of a skincare product as it's packed with a multitude of natural ingredients, all of which reduce imperfections, hydrate and protect the skin. It also has the added bonus of SPF 30, which is just important at this time of year as it is at any other. Carob Tree extract and Wild Rose work to soothe and smooth fine lines/skin discolouration, and light-reflecting pearls give the skin a beautiful luminosity when applied. What's more, the rose pink undertones in the cream act as a colour corrector to even out skin tone and brighten the complexion. We found the medium shade had a decent amount of coverage, imperfections were blurred and our skin appeared much brighter. The rosy tones do mean that the two available shades may not work for every skin tone, but if the colours are right for you, this is an amazing product for giving your skin a winter glow.

Look after your skin and perfect your complexion by getting your CC cream here for £26.

Mychelle Dermaceuticals - Cleanser and Eye Cream

Here at The Amazing Blog, it's no secret that natural skincare is a true love of ours. So we were excited to come across a brand that not only uses natural ingredients, but also strives to help the planet in return. Mychelle Dermaceuticals credits its fantastic range of products to the power of nature. Mychelle products are free from toxins and they ensure the packaging and containers are reusable and recyclable, resulting in their 2011 Responsible Packaging Award win.

We were lucky enough to try the Refining Sugar Cleanser and Remarkable Retinal Eye Cream. The natural sugar in the cleanser gently exfoliates the skin, but after contact with water transforms into a creamy, foaming lather that cleanses and hydrates the skin. This two-in-one product eliminates the need for an extra exfoliator - now that’s truly eco-friendly. For an added boost, the cleanser is infused with anti-ageing peptides and Crocus Chrysanthus Extract which firms the skin and reduces wrinkles. It seems there is nothing this cleanser cannot do!

The delicate moisturising eye cream requires only a pearl-sized amount applied to be effective - a little goes a long way. Turn back the clock with a formula of anti-ageing Retinaldehyde, plant stem cells, peptides and rich botanical oils. This defends your skin gently but extremely effectively against signs of ageing, by firming and smoothing fine lines. We loved the silky texture and yellow tint that colour corrected against under-eye discolouration.

If you want effective and eco-friendly skincare, get your own Mychelle cleanser and eye cream here for £21.50 and £29.90.

Heathcote & Ivory – Kaffe Fasset Body Wash and Lotion

For one day only, here at The Amazing Blog, our office has become an enchanted garden. Thanks to Heathcote & Ivory, the Kaffe Collection has filled the room with the heavenly scent of summer, perfect for a grey dreary day like today.

We adore everything about it. It's only October and the sky might be a bit dull but the fruity and flowery scent of this body wash let our minds travel to a colourful and happy place. It’s not usual to see a packaging like the Kaffe Fasset one; the floral pattern is literally a feast for your eyes. Bright and vivid colours cover the box and the bottle gives an idea of what's inside. The Body Wash contains a bouquet of Orange Blossom, Bergamot and Oleander mixed with Black Pepper and Cornflower, and will leave your skin soft as a rose without using parabens or sulfates.

The Kaffe Fasset Body Lotion is what you really need to keep smelling good until night and double the treatment. We couldn’t help but spreading it on hands and arms all day as the effects on the skin are astonishing. Heathcote & Ivory’s lotion - we like to call it a potion - doesn’t grease,  and is very light despite its deep hydrating action and absorbs quickly.
After a while, we also noticed the scent on our skin changes; crispy and almost salty as the sea at the beginning, it gets fruitier and more sweet after a while.

Dreaming of a private, secret garden? Buy Kaffe body wash and lotion for £12 here, where you can also find, from the same collection, hand cream and cute scented drawer liners for £10.

Queen of the Hive Face Cream

No doubt everyone has heard of, or participated in, the contour craze that recently took over the beauty world. Just when we thought that contouring was reserved purely for our make-up kits, here at The Amazing Blog we discovered that Wedderspoon have created a Face Contour Cream as part of their Queen of the Hive Organic Skincare range. The cream is designed to firm and plump your skin to accentuate the natural contours of the face, highlighting these natural contours without the need for make-up.

The essential components of the cream are Manuka Honey for nourishment and intense hydration of the skin, and Bee Venom, which is extracted humanely, to increase blood flow and stimulate collagen production to keep skin firm. Wedderspoon make the quality of their ingredients a top priority, ensuring that they are from either organic or natural sources

The packaging fits with their natural theme, the lid being made from wood, with the stylish glass pot displaying the neutral / natural coloured cream. It looks clean, chic and high quality. We loved the sweet, fragrant scent (vaguely reminiscent of Turkish delight) and how the cream soaked into the skin quickly and left it extremely soft to the touch. We experienced no skin irritation, but obviously those with bee venom allergies should not use this product.

Become the Queen of natural contour by getting your hands on the Face Contour Cream here for £52.

The Sekhmet Smokey and Sheba Mystical Shadow Palettes have a hint of desert to them, and have us in the mind of night and day. The Sekhmet Smokey Shadow Palette has silverpale moon and anthracite night colours, perfect for those of us in the office who favour a more sultry evening look. The Sheba Mystical Palette is a mesmerising reflection of a desert horizon and has a hint of sheen in each pan - this palette goes from a very pale champagne to a deeper plum and is a must have for an autumnal inspired style.

The Maat Sultry Shadow Palette offers a choice of warm, chocolaty shades. We’re talking about wonderfully pigmented matte hues from a light beige to a deep brown, the ideal palette for creating a warm smoky eye style that will give your glance an enigmatic look. Glowing with a golden undertone, the metallic finish of these shadows is absolutely enchanting.

Eye of Horus' formulas are pretty impressive. These velvety, long-lasting shadows are paraben-free, and are made with essential oils and natural waxes, making them a great discovery if you have sensitive eyes. Being cruelty-free doesn’t mean compromising on quality. These beautiful palettes have an amazing colour pay off, blending beautifully both wet and dry. And even without a primer, we found that the shadows didn't shift all day. Treat yourself to these beautiful shades here. They’re all available for £22.50
