Body Care Range - c.Booth

We just got to the middle of the week and all we want to do is take a nice, hot bath and indulge in some well-deserved pampering. Here at The Amazing Blog we have discovered c. Booth, perfect to make that relaxation session a whole lot better. We got the opportunity to try the Walnut Shell Body Scrub and Cleanser, All Over Body Sea Salt Scrub, and the Italian Olive Oil Butter. Combined, they were enough to send us into a daydream holiday by the sea.

c. Booth prides itself on providing the ultimate bathing experience whilst giving you nourished, smooth and soft skin. The Walnut Shell Body Scrub & Cleanser will make you feel like you are in nutty heaven. Rose Hip, Balm Mint, and Kola Nut have been blended to engulf you in a gorgeous scent whilst rejuvenating your skin. This exfoliating cleanser will cleanse your skin and get rid of those impurities whilst moisturising at the same time. The Sea Salt Scrub will also slough off any rough, tough, and dull skin whilst purifying and replenishing it with its Algae extract. You just have to massage the scrub in circular movements to start feeling an immediate difference in your skin. The holiday experience doesn’t stop here! The Italian Oil Body Butter features a blend of Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Coco Butter and Kola Nut to soften and eliminate any dry skin leaving a lovely smell too.

Sapooni - Salty Seaweed Body Polish

Here at The Amazing Blog, we’re all about championing smaller, artisan brands. It seems as though the skincare market is so saturated with companies claiming to be perfectly organic, or promising unbelievable results that they just can’t deliver. So we’re always delighted when we find a diamond in the rough; an independent brand that shines through. Our most recent love is Sapooni, a natural, handmade brand from Cornwall.

With a huge range of products to choose from, there really is something for everyone in the range. The Mucky Men collection contains all natural products, formulated especially for men who work outside. The range includes a Moustache & Beard Balm, and Hand Cream to name but a few, and all contain the most nourishing ingredients, perfect for caring for your skin. They have also formulated an aptly named Teenage Dirtbag range, which is perfect for teens prone to blackheads and breakouts. Their Teenage Dirtbag Soap is formulated to draw out excess oil and dirt, as well as including natural antiseptics, tea tree and arnica. It’s super gentle, so you can use it daily to help combat those pesky spots.

Last but not least, we tried some wonderful products from Sapooni’s Seaweed Range, and fell in love. Packed with minerals and vitamins, seaweed is an amazing skin detoxer. We particularly liked the Salty Seaweed Body Polish. Clearly packaged with care, the elegant glass jar looks great on the bathroom shelf. Sea Salt acts as a great exfoliating base, and is combined with intensely moisturising components like Mango Butter, Olive and Sweet Almond Oil, making it such a decadent treat for your skin. And with seaweed that’s hand-harvested from the Cornish coast, we can’t help but think about our wonderful jaunts to the seaside every time we use it.

Foot Expertise – Regenerating Cream and Blister Shield

We at The Amazing Blog  certainly put our feet through their paces whether its hobbling around in 6" heels or giving them a good pounding at the gym in well-worn trainers. This is where a trusty foot care brand like Foot Expertise comes to our rescue.

The secret behind happy feet is to keep them supple and moisturised which why Hydra Recharge Cream can really make a difference. We all know how different the skin of our feet is from the rest of our body. So this cream has been created to be richer and thicker because it needs to penetrate and be effective to the deeper layers of skin. What we liked is the fact that we didn’t have any slippery side effects and noticed that it absorbed immediately into the cracks and desquamation (sorry that doesn't sound very sexy!) It has an emollient complex which is unique and patented to the brand called 'XpertMoist' which supports long lasting hydration and minimises trans epidermal water loss. The other key ingredient Vitamin E contributes to skin softness, elasticity and restructuring. 

The other 'must have' product from the range is the Blister Shield. It can be used as a barrier and a preventive method against developing painful blisters. It is an invisible protective film that when smoothed onto the skin helps to cushion the bruising and prevents the formation of blisters.  How it works is by a little ball on top that smoothly rolls on the skin creating like an invisible film; initially we were a bit doubtful. However, our tester said with a twice daily application it really helped to dampen the burning sensation she had from her new shoes.  The key ingredients are XpertMoist (as per above) and Sodium Hyaluronate, creating powerful humectants attracting and retaining water onto the skins surface giving it the cushioning effect the helps prevent any abrasion.
