Manuka Cleanser & Manuka Hand and Body Cream - Natural Being

Manuka Honey is usually in our go to list of ingredients for our skin care routine. Here at The Amazing Blog we had the chance to try a couple of Natural Being products formulated with Manuka Honey and we loved them!

Out of the 9 products in the range, we have tested the Manuka Cleanser and the Manuka Hand and Body Cream. They are both formulated with authentic, certified and natural Manuka Honey. This active honey possesses strong antimicrobial and antiseptic properties, it is rich in anti-aging antioxidants and naturally hydrates, protects and rejuvenates the skin.

The cleanser has a gentle and creamy texture that left us with a clear and refreshed skin and without a dehydrated feeling. The Manuka Honey helps soothing and maintains moisture, added to the Manuka Oil that ensures skin is clean and glossy. The cream works as an all-over moisturiser also infused with botanical oils. When we tried it, we definitely loved how easily it absorbed into our skin, leaving it soft and protected.

If you also enjoy Manuka Honey in your skin care, you can get the Natural Being cleanser here for £13, the cream here for £13.50; or any other products from its range here.

Acne Control Mask by Kris D'Amour

Everybody knows how this changing and unstable weather can dry out our skin. Here at The Amazing Blog we are also aware that it can create problems with blemishes and acne. Kris D’Amour has a great solution with the new Detoxifying Acne Control Mask.

At first, we were surprised to see that this mask has a powder consistency. The magic happens when it's combined with some water and it turns into a paste that you can easily apply onto your skin!
Once we put it on our faces we were able to forget about the world and had 15 minutes of genuine relaxation. Its texture is soft and light, different from other anti-acne products that tend to dry your skin even more. This is a result of its alcohol-free, paraben-free, and synthetic fragrance-free composition. The calming power of chamomile and calendula fights against redness and blemishes, and the presence of acai berry- with its antioxidant properties- gives elasticity to our skin and makes this mask perfect even for mature complexions. The cranberry extract adds a slightly sweet scent to the product that reminds us of honey. It also has a touch of mango that acts as moisturiser whilst protecting us against UV rays. What else could we ask for?

You can either get a 10ml jar for only £3.00 or if you are ready for a long-term beneficial treatment for your skin, you can always go for the 100ml jar for £24.99. Both are available here.

Edible Insects - Grub

Here at The Amazing Blog, we like to believe that we’re adventurous people. So, when we came across Grub, a unique UK food company offering edible insects, we decided to give them a try.

Now, this snack is definitely not for the squeamish or faint of heart, so we apologise if the title startled you a little bit—but it’s actually not as bad as it seems! In fact, it’s actually pretty tasty. Admittedly, we did hesitate for a moment when we opened the package, but as soon as you try one, you might even find yourself going back for more (we certainly did).

So far we’ve only tried the flavoured roasted crickets, but Grub also offers fudge with crickets for snacking as well. And if you’re more interested in the culinary side of things, Grub provides unflavoured mealworms, grasshoppers, bull worms, and crickets along with a variety of tasty recipes for each of them. If you’re unsure of where to begin, there’s also a starter pack for your convenience. So why even bother eating insects, you might ask? Well it’s not as strange as you might think. Roasted insects are a staple in people’s diets all over the world. They’re incredibly high in nutrition and they’re sustainable too! Some even say that it’s the food of the future.

If you’d like to pick up some new snacks or experiment in the kitchen, take a look at the entire Grub line here.
