Liquid Eyeliners - Eye Of Horus

Here at The Amazing Blog we are in love with Eye of Horus and their makeup products. We have already tried their whole range of eye-makeup essentials including: mascara, liquid eyeliners, eye pencils, eye shadows and brow define pencils; and we have been obsessed with them since then. No wonder we got so excited when we received their new Liquid Metal Eyeliners. It means it is time to have fun with our makeup looks and bring out our inner goddess again.

Eye of Horus is an illuminating cosmetic brand with a variety of eye-makeup products. The brand has a mystical imagery and a unique design together with a natural formulation based on the very ingredients the Egyptians once used for the creation of their own makeup. Their new Liquid Metal Eyeliners are vegan, paraben-free and rich in essential oils and natural waxes. You can find them in four precious metallic shades: pewter, copper, gold and bronze. They are highly pigmented and have a felt-tipped applicator that helps deliver this mineral pigment precisely and effortlessly. But what we like the most about them is that they are extremely long-lasting and smudge free. An entire day at the office and they looked as vivid as when we first put together our makeup look in the morning. As for the colours, we can't really decide which one is our favourite. You can use the copper and bronze shades for a more natural, daily look or take a risk and play with the silver and gold shades for a fun and flashy one.

Perfect for this summer season and the autumn to come, you can buy them here for £16.50 each.

Self-Watering Single Potted Herb Keeper – Cole & Mason

Here at The Amazing Blog we are always looking for new and useful time-saving accessories. That is why we were intrigued when we discovered the Self-Watering Single Potted Herb Keeper from Cole & Mason.

The Self-Watering pot is a fuss-free kitchen tool that increases the life-span of your fresh herbs. How does it work? The concept is very simple; you just have to put your potted herbs in the white container over a hydro felt pad. This hydro felt pad allows the plant to absorb water through it as it is needed, as the pad is connected to a vessel that can be filled with water through the spout. Water will evaporate from the vessel at a slower rate as it is covered, meaning less time needed for you to spend watering your herbs.  It also looks lovely sitting on your kitchen benchtop, with grey and white to perfectly complement the green of your thriving herbs.

Triple Touch Compact – Sensai

Here at The Amazing Blog, we receive a landslide of beauty products each week. Therefore our makeup cupboards can get a little cluttered. That is why when we find products that offer multiple uses within the one package, we are always eager to try them out.

The Sensai Triple Touch Compact is a fantastic case in point: A three-in-one compact with two concealers and a moist powder to leave skin looking and feeling smooth and flawless. First to be applied is the Colourless Concealer, a jelly-textured concealer featuring a Thermo Melting Formula to ensure the product is evenly applied to the skin by softening on the fingers before being blended onto the face. It will aid in covering up lines and enlarged pores, while the Pure Pearl Extract will hydrate the skin. Next is the Cream Concealer which offers a cover-up for circles under the eyes, blemishes and inflammation. Offering SPF 15 and an Oil-in-Powder exclusive to Sensai, skin will be protected and moisturised. Once you are happy with the base, the Pressed Powder can be applied using the handy applicator included in the compact. Containing Sebum Control Powder, it will help maintain balance in the skin’s condition by absorbing additional sebum, and SPF 10 to further protect skin from the sun. This combination product’s ability to retain skin moisture and perfect flaws and blemishes in the skin makes it the perfect base or touch up product to be used alongside your other makeup products.

This miracle worker can be purchased from Harrods online here or in store for £40 in three shades.

Amla and Grapefruit Hair Remedy - Alchemy

Here at The Amazing Blog, we know all too well how sensitive our hair can be in the summer weather. So you can imagine our excitement when we had the opportunity to try Alchemy’s hair oils created for deep conditioning and styling.

The range is composed of two different oils: the Grapefruit and Amla Hair Remedies. The first one is made up of nourishing oils (Coconut, Avocado, Almond and Castor oils) known for their capacity to aid in hair growth and strengthening, and leave hair looking more lustrous. In addition, the first remedy fights dandruff thanks to the Grapefruit Essential Oil. The second oil offers amazing growth and a natural cleanse due to the nutritious blend of Amla, Coconut, Avocado, and Argan oils, whilst also helping to maintain the hair’s natural colour for longer. They really are a multi-purpose hair product! For dry hair, apply the oil from the roots to the tips for a minimum of 30 min and for damp hair, apply it only on the tips then blow-dry as usual. We also love how it smells, as it reminds us of holidays in the tropics.
