Eleni and Chris facemasks : Glow, Detox, Hydration

If you keep up with us here at The Amazing Blog, you'll know we're fans of the Scandinavian hair and skincare brand Eleni and Chris So naturally we were thrilled that we get to review all three of their new Sincell Face Masks. These sheet masks are perfect for a quick and easy pick me up for any age or skin type and can be easily catered to your skincare needs, whether you need some added Glow, a Detox, or a bit more of a Hydration boost.

What makes these sheet masks stand out amongst the crowd are the pure ingredients that are only found in the dreamlike landscape of Scandinavia. Your skin will quickly crave unique ingredients like the cloudberry extract found in the Glow Sincell Mask, which is renowned for its ability to increase cell production by 22% within 24 hours to smooth your skin tone, leaving you with nothing but a natural glow. Scandinavian glacier water and SEA3Oil are two more key ingredients carefully sourced in Scandinavia and then infused in the ultra-fine fibres of each mask to retain the delicate osmotic balance of your skin.

The Detox Sincell Mask is also packed with grapefruit, oat and liquorice root extracts, which protect your skin against all those toxins and free radicals. Last, but certainly not least, the creamy Hydrating Sincell Mask is sure to bring back that much needed moisture that the winter weather has sucked away. The apple extract, cocoa butter, hyaluronic acid and sage leaf extract will instantly rehydrate your skin while also improving its ability to keep that moisture in its place.

These user-friendly sheet masks go on dry skin; no water necessary means one less step. These sheet masks give a great creamy consistency, they also don't contain any fragrance or mineral oils which is a huge plus. Leave on the face for 15-20 minutes, remove and gently massage any excess into the skin. Eleni and Chris recommend using the mask 1-2 times a week for good results. If you’d like to get your hands on these revolutionary sheet masks first, you can purchase them individually for £9 or a 6-pack for £49 here.

Instant Effect Eye Mask by Katherine Daniels

As they say: 'A smile can hide the truth, the mouth can whisper lies, but the eyes always reveal what’s hidden below the surface...' At The Amazing Blog, we realise that our eyes reveal a lot, lack of sleep, an unhealthy lifestyle or even a stressful life. However, let's also not forget about the skin that surrounds the eye, which is extremely delicate and in need of protection. This is where we discovered the new  Instant Effect Eye Mask, from one of our favourite brands Katherine Daniels.

The Instant Effect Eye Mask is a beauty product formulated to offer hydration, firming and smoothing results. Each mask is enriched with key active ingredients that include sea kelp, mineral complex and hyaluronic acid. The combination of these ingredients makes a highly effective eye mask that reduces the appearance of wrinkles and lines while hydrating skin. Hyaluronic acid, a natural element found in the body stimulates the production of collagen and works to provide a suppler and softer skin.

As the name suggests, this mask offers instant results. They deliver visible effects after just one use, and sustained results if used twice a week. We certainly noticed an improvement after the  20 minute application, fine lines and crows feet were less visible and our eyes looked fresher and more rested. When used regularly these salon strength eye masks offers long-term benefits by firming skin and revitalising the eye area. This Instant Effect Eye Mask is perfect for slipping into your handbag to use on the go or before a big event as they helps to give the eyes a more awake and radiant look. These are now making a regular appearance in our weekly pamper routine, they are an investment buy, but we think that they are worth every penny! There are four sets of eye masks in the box and you can purchase your pack of eye masks here for £58.

Organic Golden Turmeric by Golden Greens

The Amazing Blog has been a huge believer in the power of turmeric for many years, and as a result, we are continually looking for new ways to introduce this miracle ingredient into our diet. This is how we came across Organic Golden Turmeric from Golden Greens. We like to mix this with warm milk (preferably goat or soya) adding a teaspoon of Manuka honey - delicious!

Organic Golden Turmeric is a fantastic product to add to your superfood smoothies or turmeric latte, with its unique blend of organic ginger and black pepper to help with absorption and adding a little zing to the flavour. Turmeric is a natural source of curcumin which has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. Not forgetting that curcumin is also well-known as a natural painkiller and cox-2 inhibitor and has long been used in Chinese medicine as a treatment for depression. Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric is a natural treatment for arthritis. Drinking or eating it helps your body to absorb the curcumin quickly and efficiently so that the positive effects can take hold more effectively. Currently, turmeric is being studied for its potential ability to prevent Alzheimers and cancer

You can purchase the Golden Green’s Organic Golden Turmeric here for £12.99 This is an excellent way to get healthier and add flavour into your life.

Movie Nights at the Natural History Museum

Forget Night at the Museum 1, 2, or even 3 for that matter - with apologies to Ben Stiller and his fellow castmates - here is the ultimate venue for all those Sci-Fi fans out there – Movie Nights at The Museum - as if all those fabulous exhibits aren’t enough, The Natural History Museum has teamed up with TimeOut to give you the chance to watch some of the more mind expanding films in the comfort of your own imagination - with a little atmospheric help from the spellbinding surroundings.

If like us at The Amazing Blog, Star Trek is your thing, then you are in for a major treat with a series of the franchise up for viewing throughout March 2018, but the powers that be, have played a blinder with their other choices ranging from E.T. through to Alien, so every persuasion is catered for. Check out the full list of options through their website here.

Screenings are set in the Hintze Hall, under Hope the Blue Whale, and you can settle down with a refreshment or two from the bar to chill out and enjoy whichever genre you have chosen. Tickets cost £28.00 and can be purchased through the museum’s website here; start times vary, so do ensure you check when booking. Nearest tube station is South Kensington.

Sadly, Dippy The Diplodocus who retired from view a few years ago won’t be around to join in all the fun, but there are plenty more prehistoric fish in the sea to provide suitable brainiac vibes.

Face Oils by Essentialle

At The Amazing Blog, we particularly love and support brands that give great importance to the quality of ingredients incorporated into their products. Our face is one of the most delicate and fragile parts of our body. Therefore we like to know exactly what we're applying on it! Essentialle, is a British natural skincare brand that has everything we prize and respect with their ethos, philosophy and expertise. We particularly like the high-quality plant oils and active botanical ingredients used in these three face oils, each formulated to target specific skin type needs. The founder Karina Krishtaleva's inspiration stems from her childhood in Russia, where her Grandmother used region therapeutic botanicals and herbs. This sparked a voyage of discovery as Karina travelled the world learning about other native botanicals which led her to create her own skincare brand.

The Remedy Multi-Active Re-Balancing Face Oil is created to purify, detoxify and improve the appearance of oily or problem skin. The product is enriched with plantago leaf, manuka and lavender oils, rose absolute and calendula extracts, chamomile, apricot and coconut oils. It's the blend of all these natural ingredients that give the product its multi-action benefits. Indeed not only is the face oil deeply nourishing but it also boosts collagen production, regulates sebum secretion, calms skin and promotes a suppler, more refined and brighter complexion. Everything that you need in a bottle, as the skin is left nourished, smoother and more revitalised.

The Revival Nectar Nourishing Face Oil is specially designed for dry or lack-lustre skin. Infused with a cocktail of oils including pomegranate, rose geranium, rosehip, avocado, patchouli and mandarin as well as Siberian ginseng and Gingko biloba extracts this oil rejuvenates, plumps and hydrates dry skin. Pomegranate, rose geranium and rosehip oil work for a smoother and younger looking complexion while avocado oil provides deep nourishment. This rich elixir is the ultimate skincare treatment that fortifies, replenishes, firms, protects and softens skin.

For those with dehydrated complexions, looking for that little extra boost in their face oil, the brand’s Elasticity Boost Toning Face Oil is just what is needed. Like the others face oils the product is packed with a blend of precious and conditioning oils and extracts. Abyssinian, radish seed and shea butter provide deep hydration to all layers of skin while meadowfoam seed, may chang, safflower, sweet orange oil and camelina seed oils restructure skin suppleness, stimulate collagen production and improve skin elasticity and firmness. Olive oil is added to the formula to protect and repair skin from external damages. This was our favourite face oil as it left our skin  hydrated, velvety soft, and healthy-looking.

What’s more all the face oils are free from parabens, mineral oils, microbeads, silicones, sulphates, artificial colours, fragrances and are vegan friendly. To purchase the Remedy Multi-Active face oil here for £62, the Revival Nectar face oil  here for £70 and the Elasticity Boost face oil here for £65.
