The Cake and Bake Show

The hugely popular Great British Bake Off on BBC 2 is back on our TV screens (hooray) and to celebrate this month sees the inaugural Cake & Bake Show, the UK’s first exhibition dedicated to all things baking, taking place at Earls Court on 22-23 September. The show promises visitors expert demonstrations, hands-on workshops, competitions, a food market and stands selling the latest baking equipment, ensuring your every baking need is catered for.

Fans of the GBBO (and anyone who loves baking) will have the chance to see the stars of the show, with demonstrations and classes from judges and baking legends Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, as well as series one winner Edd Kimber and last year’s champion, Jo Wheatley. They will be joined by the likes of Eric Lanlard, Richard Bertinet, Fabulous Baker Brother Tom Herbert, renowned chocolatier Paul A Young, Peggy Porschen plus many more.

Sugarcraft fans can enter the Edible Beach competition as well as take part in expert-led classes and demonstrations. Squires Kitchen’s International School and Mich Turner will also be on hand at their own dedicated feature areas. For those who bake their own bread, the dedicated bread classes and demonstration theatre will host artisan bakers Patrick Moore and Aidan Chapman and for those who want tips on turning their hobby into a business Kathy Moore from Squires Kitchen and Ms Cupcake will be offering advice on how to run a successful business from home.

And for parents who want to bring their kids along you can be assured they won’t be bored thanks to The Kids Kitchen which will have entertainment from CiTV’s Annabel Karmel. Children’s workshops will take place throughout the weekend and for those with a competitive streak, the Grain Chain Bake Off offers Families and Schools the chance to show off their baking skills, with the final round judged by Grain Chain ambassador, Paul Hollywood. So if you’re a baking fan and fancy a weekend of guaranteed eating, inspiration and entertainment pop along to the Cake and Bake Show.
