Here at The Amazing Blog we are big fans of all things sweet, so when we heard about the wonderful Artisan Du Chocolat we were in sweet treat heaven! We have been trying out their Liquid Salted Caramel Sauce recently, which is exciting because salted caramel is a big hit in the culinary world right now. The Liquid Salted Caramel Sauce is created using three different types of sugar, cream, and untreated grey salt. This salt is a very special addition to the sauce and has been harvested by hand from clay marshes since medieval times. The salt contains minerals and elements that beautifully balance the sweetness of the caramel.
We have been pairing the sauce with home made banana ice cream which we believe is truly a match made in heaven. The sauce is the perfect accompaniment to all ice cream flavours, but can also be paired with cakes and tarts or anything you like, to make pudding that little bit naughtier! We are definitely in favour of this luxurious sauce, it's sweet and salty, a combination that we predict will be hitting supermarkets for all types of treats soon.
