Chocolate Ecstasy – Coffee and Chocolate Tour

Here at The Amazing Blog, we have a weakness for chocolate. Our favourite indulgence, there’s never a bar too far away. So when we heard about London’s Chocolate Ecstasy Tour, our mouths were watering at the prospect. We can only imagine that this is the most delicious walking tour in London. We think the idea of strolling around the capital, sipping on coffee, and revelling in chocolate samples galore, is a dream come true.

The founder, Jennifer Earle, has monopolised on a wonderful natural pairing in her chocolate and coffee tours. With walks taking place in Notting Hill, Chelsea and Mayfair, as well as the option to go on evening and full day tours, there’s guaranteed to be a tour to meet your chocolate needs. The walk includes at least 2 coffees and a hot chocolate, as well as all the samples you can eat. As much as it is a tasting tour, it’s also a great chance to explore some interesting historical facts. For example, did you know that chocolate was originally an Aztec drink, whereas coffee was once eaten – mixed with animal fat to make an edible energy ball? Now that their roles are reversed, we can’t imagine tasting these delicious treats any other way.

The tours are priced from £40 to £165, and run on Sundays at 9:45am,  as well as various weekdays and evenings. You can book your place on this delicious walking tour here. Go in search of your favourite chocolate shop with Chocolate Ecstasy Tours, and be sure to check out more beautiful chocolate-y images like these at Kavey Nibbles' site.

BioCorrex - Skincare Supplements

Busy lifestyles, although rewarding, can often get in the way of really caring for our hair and skin. No matter how many products we slap on after a long days work, topical creams are not enough to maintain silky hair and a radiant glow. This is why we here at The Amazing Blog enjoyed the effects of BioCorrex, which gave us a boost of beauty that was more than skin deep.

From the BioCorrex range, we were able to try the Skin Beauty Supplement, the Pro Skin BiOmega Oil and the Uber Skin Collagen Powder. Of the three, I found that I most enjoyed the Collagen Powder. The powder is the perfect addition to my morning juices. I have been simply mixing  it into my morning Vitamix  fresh green vegetable juice, along with my VitalGreens, and glugging away. This Collagen Powder contains a blend of linseed and pomegranate extract amino acids,  key for maintaining skin elasticity. The main ingredient, collagen peptide  is 100% marine sourced and the other ingredients are listed on the website for reference, along with a handy brand comparison chart. With the chart you can check up on how other collagen products stack up to this BioCorrex powder. So far I'm really liking what the Uber Skin Collagen Powder is doing for my skin and will be curious to see the future effects.

So why not try out the BioCorrex range to keep the wrinkles at bay. The range is available to buy here, with the Uber Skin Collagen Powder costing £64.95.

Bonilla a la Vista - Patatas Fritas

JosesMonday

Once again, here we are gushing about food. It’s always an exciting time for us when we receive snacks to try out, but this one in particular was much appreciated by some of us here at The Amazing Blog since they reminded us of home. Thanks to Bonilla a la Vista, we were able to get a little taste of Spain in the form of patatas fritas and could not wait to share them with our followers.

Bonilla a la Vista got its start three generations ago, in a small town in the peninsula of A Coruna, when Salvador Bonilla opened a small booth on the pier that sold patatas fritas and churros. This small booth evolved into 7 shops and a factory, so now they can manufacture and distribute internationally for all to enjoy these Spanish snacks. These crisps are different from the ones you would find at the store. Since they are fried in cold-pressed olive oil, there is a crunchier and fresher aspect to them. The cut is also distinct; they are a lot thicker and less uniform in shape than the average crisp, similar to those kettle-cooked brands. What I really loved about these crisps is that the ingredients are as simple as can be: potatoes, olive oil and sea salt, which is all that is needed for traditional patatas fritas.

To treat yourself to these authentic Spanish patatas fritas, go here where you can find the generous 500g tin for £15.The crisps lasted a few days here in the office but we liked the tin so much it is now a part of our office décor, reminding me of home.

Dr. Zak’s – High Protein Pasta

NEW blog template

We here at The Amazing Blog  strive to eat healthy foods but as you know that is easier said than done. We find that sometimes we have to cut out a few of our favourite pasta dishes just to stay on track, but we may have found a healthier alternative thanks to Dr. Zak's and their High Protein PastaDr. Zak’s and his team have crafted products that are low-carb and high in protein without having to sacrifice flavour!

Given that Dr. Zaks himself is a doctor and body building champion and his partner Denise Chester specialises in nutrition, it is no surprise that these products  are high in nutritional value to support the athlete in you or simply a healthier lifestyle. Dr. Zak pasta has 50g of protein in every 100g serving with 50% fewer carbohydrates than other pastas. The products offered contain Pea Protein Isolate – a vegetable protein source – so the pasta is vegetarian friendly! Pea Protein Isolate is absorbed by the digestive system slower than other protein sources, which helps keep you fuller longer - this kept me from all the unnecessary snacking that tends to happen throughout the day.  It also delivers all eight essential amino acids to your body. All of Dr. Zak’s products are 100% non-genetically modified with no artificial colours, preservations or additives.

I used Dr. Zak’s pasta for dinner with green beans, tuna, pesto and pine nuts to create Amazing PR's easy and delicious (if I say so myself)  pasta that I just had to share. Preparation is simple, if I made it so can you!  The pasta was very light so I did not feel over-stuffed after eating dinner but I did feel full for the rest of the night. To get cooking, find your Dr. Zak’s High Protein Pasta online here or in-store for only £4.99

Tuna Pesto Pasta Recipe:
