Urban Food Fest 2014

It’s no secret that we at The Amazing Blog LOVE food. We are always trying new restaurants and recipes, and searching for new dishes to fall in love with. That’s why we were so excited to learn about the Urban Food Fest in Shoreditch. The Urban Food Fest is the ultimate foodie’s dream: a street food night market which has become home to 15 different food trucks and stalls. The event occurs every Saturday from 5:00 pm to midnight until June 28th so make sure to stop by before it’s gone!

Located at the Euro Car Park at 162-175 Shoreditch High Street, it is only a short 5 minute walk from the Shoreditch High Street station, Liverpool Street station, or Old Street station. Serving a variety of global cuisine, including a V Corner, exclusively for vegans, vegetarians, and raw foodies, the festival will also boast an array of dishes that can only be found at the festival.

While the Urban Food Fest is sure to make your taste buds happy, there will be plenty of other things to do whilst you chow down. Listen to great live music by up and coming bands, singers, and DJs as you observe the modern art and contemporary photography that is displayed. World famous make-up artist Kat Kraft will also be offering her talented services in the form of fun face paints, bringing us straight back to our childhood theme park outings.

So whether you’re looking to tantalise your taste buds, or simply something fun to do with your Saturday evening, head on down to the Urban Food Fest. Entry is free and we’re sure you’ll leave with a happy heart and a full tummy!

Ochre Body & Skin - Cherish & Awaken Body Wash & Lotion

Here at The Amazing Blog, we like to think we know our skincare. But although Ochre Body & Skin is an exciting discovery for us, it turns out that the use of ochre is far from new. Long ago, ochre pigment was a vital ingredient in one of the first natural, protective moisturisers. Although a lot more advanced than their namesake predecessor, Ochre Body & Skin still maintain this natural and healthy outlook. So when we received  their Cherish and Awaken products to try out, we were happy to know that we would be sampling only the most organic skincare.

We tried the Body Wash and Body Lotion from two of Ochre's gentle collections. The first, Cherish, is a balancing range, featuring cedarwood and patchouli, which showcases some wonderfully soothing skincare. Although we enjoyed using the Cherish products, it was the second collection, Awaken, that really impressed us. The entire Awaken range is designed to tone and detoxify with its delicious lemon and black pepper formula. A gorgeous soft scent with a little zing to it, the Body Wash lathers really nicely. Sea minerals act to moisturise and enrich the skin, whilst the addition of citric acid stimulates collagen production, helping to boost radiance and slow signs of aging. The Body Lotion, with its combination of softening sweet almond oil and invigorating essential oils, left my skin feeling soft and velvety, with a subtle, long lasting scent. After using this delightful skincare, we're sure we'll be Ochre fans for life.

Ochre have since expanded their line to include two more wonderful skincare collections, as well as a selection of haircare. After our fantastic experience with Cherish and Awaken, we're excited to sample the other skin loving products on offer. You may have noticed that we here at The Amazing Blog are fans of products that contain natural, organic ingredients. HealGel - HealGel Body

HealGel have something of a cult following in the beauty world, and have always been a huge hit with the girls here at The Amazing Blog. Their soothing and repairing gel formulas were designed by leading plastic surgeons, helping to bring super effective skincare to the masses. When HealGel sent us their newly released HealGel Body, we were keen to find out how it compared to the rest of the cutting edge skincare range.

NaturVits - Omega-3 with Vitamin D3 Supplement

Here at The Amazing Blog, we’re always keen to try new recipes, but we don't always get all of the nutrients we need from our diet, no matter how good our intentions are.
