Chocolate Ecstasy – Coffee and Chocolate Tour

Here at The Amazing Blog, we have a weakness for chocolate. Our favourite indulgence, there’s never a bar too far away. So when we heard about London’s Chocolate Ecstasy Tour, our mouths were watering at the prospect. We can only imagine that this is the most delicious walking tour in London. We think the idea of strolling around the capital, sipping on coffee, and revelling in chocolate samples galore, is a dream come true.

The founder, Jennifer Earle, has monopolised on a wonderful natural pairing in her chocolate and coffee tours. With walks taking place in Notting Hill, Chelsea and Mayfair, as well as the option to go on evening and full day tours, there’s guaranteed to be a tour to meet your chocolate needs. The walk includes at least 2 coffees and a hot chocolate, as well as all the samples you can eat. As much as it is a tasting tour, it’s also a great chance to explore some interesting historical facts. For example, did you know that chocolate was originally an Aztec drink, whereas coffee was once eaten – mixed with animal fat to make an edible energy ball? Now that their roles are reversed, we can’t imagine tasting these delicious treats any other way.

The tours are priced from £40 to £165, and run on Sundays at 9:45am,  as well as various weekdays and evenings. You can book your place on this delicious walking tour here. Go in search of your favourite chocolate shop with Chocolate Ecstasy Tours, and be sure to check out more beautiful chocolate-y images like these at Kavey Nibbles' site.

BioCorrex - Skincare Supplements

Busy lifestyles, although rewarding, can often get in the way of really caring for our hair and skin. No matter how many products we slap on after a long days work, topical creams are not enough to maintain silky hair and a radiant glow. This is why we here at The Amazing Blog enjoyed the effects of BioCorrex, which gave us a boost of beauty that was more than skin deep.

From the BioCorrex range, we were able to try the Skin Beauty Supplement, the Pro Skin BiOmega Oil and the Uber Skin Collagen Powder. Of the three, I found that I most enjoyed the Collagen Powder. The powder is the perfect addition to my morning juices. I have been simply mixing  it into my morning Vitamix  fresh green vegetable juice, along with my VitalGreens, and glugging away. This Collagen Powder contains a blend of linseed and pomegranate extract amino acids,  key for maintaining skin elasticity. The main ingredient, collagen peptide  is 100% marine sourced and the other ingredients are listed on the website for reference, along with a handy brand comparison chart. With the chart you can check up on how other collagen products stack up to this BioCorrex powder. So far I'm really liking what the Uber Skin Collagen Powder is doing for my skin and will be curious to see the future effects.

So why not try out the BioCorrex range to keep the wrinkles at bay. The range is available to buy here, with the Uber Skin Collagen Powder costing £64.95.

Rouge Bunny Rouge – Impalpable Finishing Powder

The Amazing Blog are no strangers to Rouge Bunny Rouge.  Having tried a number of their products before , we adore their quality pigments, and long lasting make up. When they sent over their new Diaphanous Impalpable Finishing Powder, we had the highest of hopes. An invisible setting powder that offers a velvety finish, we’ve been powdering to perfection ever since it arrived.

As much as it shouldn’t be a factor, we can’t help but be enticed by the woodland fairy style packaging. Inspired by feys of the forest, both the box and the casing are adorned with all manner of woodland type artistry. However, all style and no substance, this product certainly is not. The very finely milled white powder is a little alarming at first glance, but offers a beautiful finish when applied. Think less 18th Century Marie Antoinette and more soft focus screen siren. The powder buffs onto the skin translucent and sets make-up wonderfully, covering flaws and imperfections in a manner that even a fairy princess would envy. With evermat and silica helping to absorb excess oil, and brightening Actiwhite, it left my skin looking satin smooth and airbrushed all day long. The obvious benefit of such an invisible powder is that it’s a universal product, suitable for all skin types. So whether you’re the fairest of them all, or the darkest ebony, Rouge Bunny Rouge can give you the gift of dream-like skin.

Transform yourself into a velvety vision with the Impalpable Finishing Powder, available here for £32.66.

O'Right - Goji Berry Volumizing Range

You all know how much we love natural beauty products here at The Amazing Blog. We are always on the hunt for new green goodies, so when we discovered O’Right, we could not wait to try it on our lovely locks. With their innovative wine bottle packaging, the Goji Berry Volumizing Range piqued our interest from the outset. We soon discovered that O’Right are more than just a pretty bottle.

One thing that really impressed us about the O’Right products is their unbelievably natural approach. We’re all for organic beauty, and everything, from the ingredients to the soy ink on the refillable bottles, is eco-friendly. This natural approach is more than apparent in the Volumizing Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Cream, all of which we were lucky enough to sample. Suitable for fine, limp hair, the range of products produced great results, and I was particularly impressed with the conditioner. With its incredible fruity smell and smooth texture, it is rich enough to give my tresses the moisture and nourishment they need, whilst being light enough to leave it soft and bouncy. The powerful antioxidants contained in the Goji Berry reinforce the hair root and structure, giving your flat hairdo a fabulous boost. The overall green nature of the products and the positive impact it had on my thin hair, puts the Goji Berry Volumizing collection at the top of my hair care shopping list.

Grab the O’Right Goji Berry Volumizing Range here. The conditioner is available to buy for £18.95, the shampoo and hair cream for £18.25 and £17.90 respectively.

Celtic Marches - Abrahalls Thundering Molly Cider

I’m sure we’re not the only ones who are pleased to see that summer has finally arrived in London. Here at The Amazing Blog, we are taking advantage of these sunnier evenings by spending our time in the garden, relaxing with a drink in hand. The girls enjoy a cocktail or two, but I’m a cider man, myself. So when Celtic Marches sent us this Abrahalls Thundering Molly Cider, I was the first to pour myself a glass and venture out onto the patio.

One of Thundering Molly’s unique attributes is her retro label. Adorned with a 1950s pin-up, the whole office was a fan of the aesthetically pleasing bottle. The cider itself has a lovely rich, golden hue, which was enough to make my mouth water just looking at it.  Celtic Marches describe the brew as a ‘well rounded medium cider’ and it certainly went down smoothly. The sweet sharpness of the apples, made with 100% fresh pressed juice gives a wonderfully refreshing taste. There is something about one of your five-a-day being turned into a delicious alcoholic beverage that I can wholly agree with, and the crew at Abrahalls have definitely become the apple of our eye.

In anticipation of warmer evenings, we'll be stocking our coolers with cider aplenty. We think that Thundering Molly will be your best friend for the coming summer months.  A 500ml bottle contains 5.2% ABV, and can be bought in a pack of 12 here for £29.99
