Terre De Mars - 004 Resonance Body & Hair Oil

At the Amazing Blog we’re big fans of the humble coffee bean and its versitility - not only can it give a wonderful boost to those of who find the early mornings a bit of a trial, but the health and medicinal benefits of caffeine-based cosmetology is now also sitting centre stage and rightly getting the attention it deserves. Terre De Mars is a company at the forefront of this.

Started by three friends who had memories of their grandmother espousing on the virtues of coffee as more than just a beverage, they started their empire from the humble beginnings of a 100% pure coffee face scrub. Alexandre, Poulad and Salem had such a phenomenal success with their scrub, that they progressed onto a more sure footing with the launch of a full range of coffee-based products, all of which are COSMOS, COSMEBIO, vegan and cruelty-free certified, and gender fluid. They created their formulae which comply completely with ECOCERT Standards, having researched and understood the benefits of using caffeine in a highly concentrated form, and along with the other totally natural ingredients, the results are a perfect fit for skin bio-compatibility and sensorial richness.

Today we’re talking about the Terre De Mars Résonance 004 Resonance Body & Hair Oil which contains antioxidant and nourishing oils to achieve radiance and smoothness. Castor oil regenerates the skin, and that vital caffeine component tones and invigorates the skin tissues, with Argan oil providing much-needed hydration. The complete range is a happy marriage between science and nature, formulated from powerful bioactive and probiotic ingredients, thus providing a powerful cocktail of nutrients. The benefits do not end there, not only is this nurturing balm kind to our skin, but the packaging is all created with recycled material, meaning the environment reaps huge rewards also. By the way, It doesn’t smell of coffee and has only a hint of zesty citrus scent from the bitter orange water.

Available here at €58 for the 100ml bottle, this is clearly unlikely to be an impulse buy, but the benefits of this newfound elixir are there to be experienced, and the results celebrated. We also believe from their retailer’s page here that it is currently available instore at Wolf & Badger or Make Me Feel (in London) for approx. £48.

Purepotions - Skin Salving Bath and Body Oil

Here at The Amazing Blog we are extremely fortunate to be testing lots of different beauty and lifestyle products on a daily basis. However, as one of us in the office has particularly sensitive skin, we tend to veer towards natural and organic products. One of our trusted go-to skincare brands is Purepotions. In fact, you can read our recent reviews on their Intensive Moisturising Ointment and Daily Moisturising Cream here; and their Hair & Scalp Natural Shampoo & Conditioner here.

Today we are reviewing their great little multitasker, the Bath and Body Emollient Oil . Already an award winner with Natural Health for Best Eczema Range in 2017, it doesn’t only work as a Skin Salving Bath and Body Oil but combines different benefits all in one. This completely natural emollient oil is made from a unique and gentle blend of nutritious botanicals, and can be used anywhere and on anyone. It is suitable for all skin types and ages, and the naturally versatile blend can be used as a massage or shaving oil, and as a moisturising oil after showering, to hydrate our skin. If that isn’t enough, then it can also be used as a facial cleanser.

The wonderful part about this 100% natural product, apart from the obvious, is that it is free from parabens, preservatives or perfumes, making it suitable for dry and sensitive skin. Furthermore, it nourishes deeply due to essential vitamins that are blended into its unique formulas. It contains organic calendula, with its soothing abilities, and both lavender & camomile essential oils which calm and protect. There is also the use of organic hemp seed oil which keeps the cell membranes flexible, and retains moisture. As it is the dehydrated cells which cause the skin to be irritated, we are thankful for this product - itchy skin doesn’t stand a chance against this powerful moisturising oil!

All products from Purepotions are handmade using natural ingredients in order to heal our bodies and our planet at the same time. Purepotions is also so natural, that it can be used on pets. However, they do not recommend Rescue Salves, as they have a high concentration of tea tree and lavender essential oils which are not good for cats and dogs. We think that this Bath and Body Oil would work as a great travel companion, so if you can only pack one body/bath/massage/shaving product - make it this one. This Skin Salving Bath and Body oil is available here for £12.99 per 200ml or £19.00 per 300 ml.

Nathalie Bond - Bloom Body Oil

London is starting to be a crimson and fiery orange dream, thanks to the autumn leaves. However, the crisp air can start to affect our skin’s moisture levels, especially when you have sensitive skin. As our regular readers will know, we’re more than just a tad fussy about what we use on our bodies, and are always eager to know what the ingredients are. Today The Amazing Blog is reviewing a product by the certified COSMOS Organic & Natural and cruelty-free skincare brand, Nathalie Bond. Their products are made in small batches, so we know we’re getting the quality that we deserve. We’re fans of this organic skincare brand and have recently reviewed their Bloom Lip Balm, here.

Nathalie Bond uses cold pressed and sustainably sourced oils. This family-run business has a range of products with handmade soap, lip salves, balms, body/face oils, scrubs, bath salts candles, and mists.

We gave their Bloom Body Oil a whirl. This oil is certified organic and 100% natural, 99% of the natural ingredients are organic. The Bloom Body Oil contains safflower seed oil, jojoba seed oil, rose geranium flower oil, palmarosa oil, patchouli oil, and vitamin E. Safflower oil is known to rejuvenate and moisturise damaged skin. Jojoba oil is found in most natural skincare products, due to its quick absorbing properties. We found the Bloom Body Oil wasn’t greasy, it absorbed well and did wonders to hydrate our skin. Nathalie Bond recommends this oil for all skin types and we couldn’t get enough of the beautiful rose geranium and patchouli fragrance, it left our skin gently scented. You can purchase Nathalie Bond’s  Bloom Body Oil 30ml for £10.00 or the 100ml bottle for £24.00 here. There is free shipping on orders over £40 in the UK.

Nuxe - Huile Prodigieuse 25th Anniversary

Nuxe’s flagship product, Huile Prodigieuse, is celebrating its 25th anniversary which is exciting news for all fans of the French beauty brand. To celebrate this monumental birthday, the company has released three limited edition bottles of their number one dry oil. The Amazing Blog has long been devotees of Huile Prodigieuse, and we were lucky enough to sample the limited edition products before their release.

The three colourful and exclusive bottles are decorated with botanical lace and each represent a unique quality Nuxe possess and value. The coral celebrates 25 years of passion, the turquoise represents 25 years of emotion, and the white symbolises 25 years of pure beauty.  As well as the new and stunning bottles, the company has refreshed their original formula. The product now contains Tsubaki oil, a powerful anti-ageing ingredient which is quickly absorbed and nourishes the skin.  Along with the addition of Tsubaki oil the, the dry oil contains hydrating sweet almond oil, vitamine Eborage seed oil and softening Macadamia nut oil. The use of Camellia oil gives the product a beautiful and full-bodied botanical fragrance that encapsulates the essence of the company; which is, everyday luxury.

The diversity of the product is what makes Huile Prodigieuse so utterly fantastic in our eyes as the dry oil can be used on the face, body and hair. For a more youthful look apply once a day, to eradicate stretch marks massage into problem areas, and to repair damaged hair rub into ends as frequently as you deem necessary. What’s more, Nuxe is a brand inspired by the infinite power of plants, as such their products are rooted with an eco-attitude and use nature as a way to innovate their skincare. This really is a wonder product, and one we can’t wait to use for the next 25 years.

Body and Facial Oil - Holos Skincare

When we find a product at The Amazing Blog, that not only works but are also handmade, ethically-produced and mindful of the environment, it is quick to become a favourite of ours. As such, after trying their Body Oil and Facial Oil, the Irish brand Holos has become a staple among us here at the office and is now a valued step in our beauty regimes.

Holos describes their rich and nourishing Body Oil as the basis of their 'Love Your Skin' range. It is a blend of essential oils of Rose, Palmarosa, Benzoin and Frankincense in Sweet Almond oil. This oil is suitable for all skin types but especially benefits dry and mature skin as the hydrating properties of these oils help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The special blen of essential oils means that the product is ble to achieve a lot of results; the palmarosa oil encourages cell regeneration, the rose and benzoin oil reduce inflammation of the skin, and the rose also helps fix broken capillaries

Their Facial Oil is Holos’ best -selling product, and we can see why. It contains the same oils as the Body Oil (Rose, Palmarosa, Benzoin and Frankincense) but this time combined with Argan oil to give you a premium anti-ageing oil. It works brilliantly at the plumping skin, which helps smooth out wrinkles and restores a glow of youthfulness to ageing skin. Equally, the unique blend of essential oils helps to reduce any redness of inflammation. We love that the oil has multiple uses; it can be applied with a moisturiser or on its own, and it works a replacement eye cream marvellously. What's more, four drops are enough to use on both the face and neck.

So give your skin some love with this amazing all natural, gluten free, vegan and paraben free brand, Holos. You can purchase the Body Oil here for £15.99 and the Facial Oil here for £22.99
