Totally Derma ® by Boley Nutraceuticals

We’ve all heard about how important is to incorporate sunscreens, serums and moisturisers to our daily routine as we get older, but Boley Nutraceuticals has totally changed the way we at The Amazing Blog are thinking about anti-ageing skincare. While a good SPF and retinol serum are great to have in your bathroom cabinet, Boley’s ground-breaking product Totally Derma® Nutraceuticals Collagen Drink Supplement focuses on working from the inside out.

Many brands today push for topical-only application of anti-ageing ingredients but Totally Derma® focuses on counteracting both the more aesthetic signs of ageing as well as the underlying physiological processes that are harder to see with the naked eye. Launched in 2017, Totally Derma® has been clinically-proven to increase Hyaluronic Acid (HA) in the body, and it contains Arthred®, a pre-digested and highly-absorbable bovine collagen, which contributes to skin firmness and elasticity. Even better is that the bovine collagen is so pure that it is hypoallergenic, therefore perfect for those who have digestive problems.

In addition, the increased levels of HA and Collagen have also shown improvements in not only skin, joints, hair, nails, bones; but also even in gut inflammation, bladder, urethra and vagina health too. Totally Derma® also contains other antioxidants like zinc, green tea extract and grape-seed extract to help collagen synthesis and ageing tissue. These health-boosting ingredients are taken once a day, from one level scoop daily into 250 ml of water or juice. After digestion, Totally Derma® is 95 % absorbed in the small intestine and then distributed to the skin to stimulate cells to produce more collagen and HA in the body. Even better about this collagen drink is easy to take and palatable, adding a little boost to your day and body. Nouri Herbal Shots

You might associate Herbology with Harry Potter fandom, rather than health and wellbeing; and although we love Ms. Sprouts’ classes, the newly growing herbal community is showing us at The Amazing Blog, that it can work it’s magic even on us common muggles. Newly founded company, NOURI is proving it’s worth in this domain, taking us back to our natural roots, with a range of alcohol-free and highly concentrated herbal shots.

Founders, Lia Schmökel and Danielle Sheridan wanted to create products that help us to integrate a healthy routine into busy lifestyles. Their herbal shots make it easy to treat our bodies to some natural goodness without being dogmatic about it, allowing us busy bees to keep our bodies and minds at their optimum. The shots come in different forms, you can buy their Focus, Boost or Lust shots seperately, or you can choose from a ready-made pack. Whichever you choose, you can be sure that the contents have been designed to aid the human biorhythm.

We tried their individual shots, Focus, Boost and Lust. Focus contains energising ingredients, such as eleuthera and Siberian ginseng. These power ingredients help boost physical and psychological performance, without any side effects, while, green tea extracts help to awaken our senses. Limes, liquorice root and bitter orange create a powerful and refreshing taste that makes your mornings feel light and fresh, even if they are packed with invoices and tax returns.

Boost provided us with the will to carry on, after we had our third back-to-back meeting of the day. The use of Inca herb maca is noteworthy, a specialist ingredient when it comes to fighting against drowsiness, which creates an energetic outcome when combined with ginger, oregano, guarana and nutmeg. In addition, it also provides our aching muscles with the uplifting kick they deserve, boosting our energy levels for a sustained period of time, as opposed to the kick that we lose quickly after consuming sugary energy drinks.

Finally, we tried Lust, which contains the South African plant damiana, traditionally used as an aphrodisiac during shamanic rituals. This acts as a natural viagra for men and woman, and with additional ingredients like schisandra and cardamom, balance and stamina are notable. The use of chilli also enlightens inner fire, and rosemary, a known herb of passion, strengthens the libido naturally.

If you too would like to enlighten your senses, then visit the NOURI website here, where you can purchase your own bottles of Focus, Boost and Lust. They’re available either as a single purchase (a minimum of 6 bottles), or as part of a monthly package.

Something for Every 'Body'

To be frank, regular aerobic exercise is not a first priority in my life,  I used to be a ‘gym bunny’  but nowadays I’m more of ‘dog walker’, so  I’m somewhat of  an unlikely candidate to trial these aroma therapy based ‘sports’ lotions and potions. However, when Pepperfit  samples landed on our doorstep at Amazing PR  and we unwrapped and smelt them – I decided to have first dibs.  Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am very chemical-phobic and will only consider putting organic or natural products on my skin. What we all liked about these Pepperfit products is their texture and aroma i.e. not an overpowering aroma-pong or gloopy and greasy – both a classic mistake made by quite a few small producers of aromatherapy based skincare.

There are four ranges which are all rather appropriately named for each of their active properties: Rescue, Relax, Boost  and Zest.    I particularly liked the Relax Body & Massage Oil  (RRP £16.80) as I have a fondness for its key ingredients of Geranium and Ylang Ylang. It was quickly absorbed making my skin soft and left a subtle fragrance.  I also tried the Zest Multi Balm  (RRP £10.80) which is very fresh and uplifting with Tangerine, Lavender and Chamomile Roman – an unlikely mix of aromas but when combined actually smell amazing! It’s particularly good for chapped lips, so I’ve adopted it as my winter lip balm.

What we love about these ‘aroma sport’ is that the products bringing together both modern scientific sports knowledge and respected traditions derived from ancient and global cultures, where they use plants for their medicinal and healing properties. The Pepperfit rangeis suitable for both the regular consumer as well as the sports professional.  London 2012 athletes  if you’re reading this, we suggest that you stock up on Pepperfit for your Olympics sports regime – it’ll certainly add a bit of aroma ‘zing’ to your step.
