Korres Yoghurt Range – Shower Gel, Hand Cream, Body Milk, Body Butter

Korres is one of our favourite brands. For those of you who don't know, it's a Greek company, so it seems to make sense that they have now incorporated nutritious Greek yoghurt into their new range of bodycare products. All these Korres Yoghurt bodycare, have a gorgeous fresh and clean scent in a rich and creamy formula that pampers and hydrates the skin. If you are a regular reader, you'll know that we at The Amazing Blog love natural beauty products, and this range has suitably impressed us. Korres bodycare is firmly rooted in natural ingredients, and they even quotes the exact rations of what is natural i.e:  The Body Butter which is 94.4%, the Body Milk  92.6%, the Showergel 86.4% and the Hand Cream with 88.9%. All products are suitable for vegetarians and dermatologically tested too.

The Body Butter is rich in shea butter and avocado, almond and sunflower oils. It also contains guava, an excellent source of vitamin C for collagen synthesis, and quince extract which is good for softening and restructuring. The Body Milk, while thinner in consistency, is still deeply moisturising. It is enriched with almond oil, active aloe, shea butter and provitamin B5 all to nourish the skin. Almond oil is hailed for its anti-inflammatory and soothing effects, while aloe vera is well-known for its medicinal healing and cell regeneration properties. Shea butter, one of our favourite ingredients, is also renowned for its hydrating and softening effects.

The Hand Cream boasts similar ingredients, with the addition of calendula for repairing cracked skin. It feels luxuriously thick and creamy, but absorbs quickly which we love. The Showergel is creamy and foamy with wheat proteins and althea extract to help maintain skin’s natural moisture levels. The additions of vitamins C and E, zinc and antioxidant enzymes are great to boost the skin’s immune system. We think this range is perfect for protecting your skin in these cold winter months. Purchase the Korres Yoghurt range online at Feel Unique here, or in-store and online at Debenhams, Marks & Spencer and  Liberty London. These products range in price from £8 - £12.50.

Healthy Food - Friday Favourites

After the Christmas season many of us resolve to get back to our healthiest in the New Year. It’s now easier than ever to get on the health bandwagon and we at The Amazing Blog have been gathering our favourite healthy foods to share with you.

Glenilen handmade yoghurts really caught our attention with their large collection of natural low-fat yoghurts. The family-run farm has been running for generations in County Cork. What started as a hobby using their cows’ milk has now grown into a fully-fledged business, using fresh simple ingredients.

The yoghurts come in lots of delicious flavours, including rhubarb and strawberry, natural seeds, and blueberry. We loved the creamy textures and all the yoghurts had a lovely thick layer of fruit. With no additives or nasties, this is the perfect sweet treat without the guilt. Buy it here for £1.99.

The Amazing Blog are big fans of Gosh’s naturally free-from range. Suitable for vegans, their products are free from gluten, egg, dairy, nut and soya, meaning that everybody can enjoy these great products. The food from Gosh is made from minimal and fresh ingredients, blending vegetables, pulses, herbs and spices.

We particularly enjoyed the mushroom, puy lentil and butter bean burgers. Packed with mushrooms, vegetables, they contain one of your important five a day. Although they are super healthy, these burgers pack a punch with great flavour. These products are feel-good food we know you’ll enjoy. You can buy the Gosh burgers for £2.50 here.

Lizi’s Granola is a healthy breakfast cereal containing oats, nuts, seeds and more excellent healthy ingredients. Lizi’s has always strived to add natural and simple ingredients in their products. The oats are a fantastic source of both protein and fibre, helping you to stay fuller for longer and prevent spikes in blood sugar levels.

We at The Amazing Blog were excited to try Lizi’s Pink Apple & Cinnamon Granola. Apples are a great addition to your diet, aiding the heart, digestive system, and blood sugar. Cinnamon is also a brilliant ingredient to help control blood sugar. The granola is really tasty and so easy to prepare when you’re in a rush – simply add milk and eat. For an incredibly easy and delicious breakfast, get it here for £3.65.

Skinny Dipping is a savoury dip company offering up an amazing selection of healthy and natural dips. Coming from their love of hummus, Skinny Dipping has put together beautiful flavour combinations such as Spiced Squash and Yoghurt, Broadbean and Mint, and Charred Aubergine and Lemon.

The dips are homemade and created with 100% natural ingredients. All of the pots are healthy with a high a vegetable content, meaning you can indulge as often as you want! We think they would be brilliant to share with friends with crudites or even as an addition to your lunchbox.

The Coconut Collaborative – Coconut Milk Yoghurts and Frozen Yoghurts

Here at The Amazing Blog, we love the occasional tempting treat. However, although we crave the instant gratification a sugary snack can give, we’re not too fond of the guilty feeling and the effect that they have on our waistline. It’s always something of a revelation when we unearth a delicious snack that tastes naughty, but has none of the drawbacks. Lately we can’t get enough of the delectable offerings from The Coconut Collaborative.

Established by the founder of those tasty Gu Puds we all love, James Averdieck, and leading nutritionist, Steve Bessant, The Coconut Collaborative have a range of wonderful coconut milk based products which aim to give all of the sweetness, with none of the guilt. Free from dairy, gluten, sugar and soya, as well as being vegan, we expected it to have that ‘healthy’ taste that doesn’t quite satisfy a sweet tooth. However we were seriously impressed with these delicious desserts. Our favourite was the Mango & Passion Fruit Yoghurt. Just creamy enough to feel indulgent, but light enough to be a fresh summer treat, it’s all we’ve been snacking on lately. Their Raspberry Snowconut is also difficult to resist, and perfect for cooling you down on those particularly sunny days.

Grab a spoon and dig in to these wonderful pots of goodness. These delicious yoghurt treats are available to buy here for £1.69. The equally delicious tubs of Snowconut are available for £4.99.
