Body Balm

XO Balm

As you know we at The Amazing Blog love to have a go-to beauty staple and for us not many beat XO Balm which is a latest multipurpose balm. The product is perfect for those with eczema, boyfriends with beards or sensitive skin in need or some TLC. The balm is effective in soothing and relieving dryness, sensitive and irritated skin. What’s more, the product is multi functional and can be used on the face, body and hair.

The balm is 100% natural and has a simple four-ingredient formula that offers a natural alternative to prescription products for those suffering from eczema and dermatitis. The effective combination of beeswax, coconut oil, olive oil and chia seed oil locks in essential nutrients and soothes, restores and strengthens everything it is applied to. The balm won’t clog your skin and is fragrance-free. It contains no synthetics and leaves a long-lasting protective barrier with a matte finish. Within days one of us with eczema found that this balm not only stopped them itching but also took down their redness - we're impressed! We think that this little balm is a handy travelling companion as the tin packaging means that it fits in any bag, pocket or hand making it perfect for those on the go.

You can purchase the balm here for £12.50.

Nelsons Arnicare Bath & Massage Balm

thursday new blog imageWe have all had those days when everything piles up and up and the stress can get too much. On days like that,  The Amazing Blog is so thankful for products like the Nelsons Arnicare Bath and Massage Balm.

This fantastic bottle of liquid gold is a three-in-one miracle stress, tension and muscle ache cure. It can be used as a soothing and luxurious bath oil for you to unwind in, as a massage oil to relieve stiff or aching muscles and as a body oil that should be applied after bathing to lock in moisture.

The Bath and Massage Balm contains arnica, a powerful ingredient extracted from the beautiful Arnica Montana plant which has anti-inflammatory properties that can ease muscle pain and reduce the appearance of bruises. Almond Oil and Evening Primrose are used to keep moisture in the skin whilst rejuvenating tired muscles. The product also makes use of lavender and grapefruit oil to calm the mind.

The Bath and Massage Balm has a fragrant herbal scent that is instantly calming thanks to the lavender notes. When applied to the skin, it absorbs very quickly without leaving oily residue. My skin instantly felt softer and smoother and the herbal fragrance lingered long after application. I think this product would be perfect if used in a bath and then as a moisturising body oil just before bed time to aid relaxation and ensure a comfortable and peaceful nights sleep.

The Bath and Massage Balm comes in a 200ml bottle for just £8.49 and can be purchased from Boots amongst other stockists which you can find listed on the website. If you would like some more information about the Arnicare range please visit the Nelsons website.

Natural U

Hopefully, like us, you've been soaking up all the sun you can in London today (we're depending on all of you to keep your fingers crossed so it lasts!). However, your delicate skin may still be feeling the effects of the unseasonably cold weather of recent weeks, and no one wants to have less than luscious skin in this beautiful weather!  So whether it’s a bit of dry skin or something more, The Amazing Blog has found a couple of great body balms for you! Natural U’s two skin balms are little pots of miracle working moisturiser, with loads of uses on your body and face.

Founder Catherine Matthias created the balms after growing tired of seeing all the chemicals used in most moisturisers, packed with unnatural ingredients, which didn’t even seem to work. After blending natural ingredients, she found her eczema started clearing up, and has been selling her range ever since. Their All Purpose Balm is brilliant for dry skin, lips, heels and elbows. You can use it as a night time facial moisturiser, and for eczema – it’s great for sensitive skin. The all natural and organic ingredients in the beauty balms make sure that the best and most raw elements are going into your skin.

Second in the range is my favourite, the Daily Body Rub, it smells just like peppermint and has just as many uses as the All Purpose Balm. With ingredients like shea butter, eucalyptus, tea tree, and beeswax, the Daily Body Rub is great for sore muscles, headaches and tiredness. Use it across your neck, shoulders and temples to get a great natural relief from the daily grind! For each application you really don’t need to use a lot of the balm -  a little goes a long way! The balm absorbs right into your skin, hydrating it and leaving it smooth and soothed.

So whether your skin needs a nice balm occasionally or an intensive moisturiser regularly, Natural U has a body balm for you!
