Friday Favourites - Chocolate bars

With Easter fast approaching, we've noticed that shops have been stacking their shelves with loads of tempting egg-shaped sweeties. While sadly, the days of childhood egg-hunting are over for us here at The Amazing Blog, we still appreciate a good opportunity to enjoy a sweet treat or two... This Easter, we thought we'd find some alternatives to the eggs. So we've chosen to feature three different chocolate brands with some of their latest bars, which will make a great addition to your Easter celebrations!

For those of you who enjoy a little floral twist in their chocolates, Urban Village Chocolates has a Rose & Bergamot milk chocolate bar that we think you'll love. Urban Village Chocolates are an artisan chocolate company that produces hand-crafted luxury chocolates with their unique recipes. We've previously featured some of their other chocolate discs which are imprinted with pretty, modern designs, see here. We think this award-winning chocolate brand produces some of the prettiest chocolate bar designs we've seen to date.

This Rose and Bergamot Chocolate Bar is made with steam-distilled pure organic rose and bergamot oils. To complement this scented combination of ingredients, the brand also adds cocoa solids, cocoa butter, vanilla flavouring and milk. The well-balanced mix of all these ingredients makes for a luxurious, moreish and irresistible chocolate bar. Apart from being handmade, each bar is hand-decorated with beautiful floral patterns making it almost too pretty to eat! Also, this chocolate bar contains 110g of chocolate making it the perfect size to share with your friends and family (or perhaps just keep it all to yourself!) You can purchase this delicious chocolate bar here for £5.50.

We also suggest trying out Rhythm108's range of Deeelicious Swiss Chocolate Bars. This Swiss brand used the expertise and craftsmanship of their chocolatiers to create organic bars that not only are innovative and healthy but also are gluten-free, vegan and handmade. Their products allow us to enjoy a treat without compromising our healthy lifestyles. Their chocolate bars are available in three different flavours including Hazelnut Praline, Sweet 'n' Salty Almond and Super Coconut.

Rhythm 108's chocolate bars are made with only natural and organic ingredients. The ingredients include nuts, cacao butter, oat flour, quinoa and coconut which makes them healthier and tastier than competitor brands. The mouth-watering Hazelnut Praline bar is the perfect bar for nut lovers and for anyone else that enjoys succulent and high-quality chocolates. The clever mix of smooth praline and nutty hazelnut is heavenly. The Sweet’n Salty Almond bar is filled with oat and almond butter which gives it a sweet and salty taste that instantly brightens your snacking time. Coconut and dark chocolate - what an amazing combination. At the blog, the Super Coconut bar is one of our all-time favourites (and we measure our words here). The bar is an explosion of coconut flavours; add to that a fine dark chocolate, and you have an intense and delightful snack. If you’re still hesitating about trying these bars, then you should know that they have 46% less sugar than other chocolate bars. Amazing isn’t it? All That Jazz: Cuticle Oil, Cuticle Balm & Bee Bar Lotion

allthatjazzNEW.jpg

This past January we raved about All That Jazz’s hand and foot care products in one of our blog posts. We know that their products are amazing, and now we are excited to announce that the brand has finally received the recognition that we think it deserves. At the prestigious 2018 Beauty Shortlist Awards, All That Jazz was awarded the Winner of the Best Nail Brand category, meaning that out of all the brands entered in the competition, they have the best nail care products. In addition, All That Jazz was ranked as a Finalist in the Best Nail Product category for their Cuticle Balm. They also won Editor’s Choice Awards for their Bee Bar Lotion, Baseline Base Coat and Top Note Top Coat. Talk about sweeping the board and taking home the gold!

We at The Amazing Blog know how day-to-day tasks can take their toll on our hands, especially in this wintery weather. So we wanted to feature some of our favourite hand care products from the brand with their Cuticle Oil and Cuticle Balm, and the incredible Bee Bar Lotion

All That Jazz’s Cuticle Oil has a coconut oil base which helps to deeply moisturise the dead skin on nails. By using this product twice daily, you reap the benefits of vitamins A, C and D and carotenoids that are in this oil and create a protective barrier on the skin. We used the oil in the Apple Cucumber scent, a fresh, crisp and invigorating fragrance which left our fingertips feeling revitalised. This oil also comes in the other fragrances, Captivate, Chocolate Orange and Maple Spice. We hear X Factor Judges Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger are also big fans of Maple Spice!

All That Jazz’s Cuticle Balm also comes in the same 4 scents; we used the balm in Captivate. Captivate has a soothing aroma of lightly perfumed musk and coconut oil, a refreshing and relaxing fragrance. The special ingredients in the balm include beeswax and cocoa butter that naturally lock in moisture as they are natural emollients and humectant. We found that the balm works amazingly alongside the cuticle oil, our nails have never looked better!

The Bee Bar Lotion is one of our favourite multi-taskers. It is our go-to product as it's incredibly moisturising and nourishing with a little going a long way. It is filled with shea butter, golden jojoba and natural antioxidants; it is ideal for any dry or damaged hands offering fast hydration and protection. The lotion comes in 7 different scents, we received ‘Hawaiian’ which has a deliciously fresh and tropical aroma. Used sparingly this lotion can last up to 6 months and doesn’t dry up or lose its fragrance. However, if you like it as much as we do then we doubt you’ll manage to keep yours that long!

All That Jazz is an award-winning nail care brand with high-quality products that have fast become our special must-have products. You too can purchase the All That Jazz Cuticle Oil here for £7.99, Cuticle Balm here for £8.99 and Bee Bar Lotion here for £7.99

Face Oils by Essentialle

Essentielle.jpg

At The Amazing Blog, we particularly love and support brands that give great importance to the quality of ingredients incorporated into their products. Our face is one of the most delicate and fragile parts of our body. Therefore we like to know exactly what we're applying on it! Essentialle, is a British natural skincare brand that has everything we prize and respect with their ethos, philosophy and expertise. We particularly like the high-quality plant oils and active botanical ingredients used in these three face oils, each formulated to target specific skin type needs. The founder Karina Krishtaleva's inspiration stems from her childhood in Russia, where her Grandmother used region therapeutic botanicals and herbs. This sparked a voyage of discovery as Karina travelled the world learning about other native botanicals which led her to create her own skincare brand.

The Remedy Multi-Active Re-Balancing Face Oil is created to purify, detoxify and improve the appearance of oily or problem skin. The product is enriched with plantago leaf, manuka and lavender oils, rose absolute and calendula extracts, chamomile, apricot and coconut oils. It's the blend of all these natural ingredients that give the product its multi-action benefits. Indeed not only is the face oil deeply nourishing but it also boosts collagen production, regulates sebum secretion, calms skin and promotes a suppler, more refined and brighter complexion. Everything that you need in a bottle, as the skin is left nourished, smoother and more revitalised.

The Revival Nectar Nourishing Face Oil is specially designed for dry or lack-lustre skin. Infused with a cocktail of oils including pomegranate, rose geranium, rosehip, avocado, patchouli and mandarin as well as Siberian ginseng and Gingko biloba extracts this oil rejuvenates, plumps and hydrates dry skin. Pomegranate, rose geranium and rosehip oil work for a smoother and younger looking complexion while avocado oil provides deep nourishment. This rich elixir is the ultimate skincare treatment that fortifies, replenishes, firms, protects and softens skin.

For those with dehydrated complexions, looking for that little extra boost in their face oil, the brand’s Elasticity Boost Toning Face Oil is just what is needed. Like the others face oils the product is packed with a blend of precious and conditioning oils and extracts. Abyssinian, radish seed and shea butter provide deep hydration to all layers of skin while meadowfoam seed, may chang, safflower, sweet orange oil and camelina seed oils restructure skin suppleness, stimulate collagen production and improve skin elasticity and firmness. Olive oil is added to the formula to protect and repair skin from external damages. This was our favourite face oil as it left our skin  hydrated, velvety soft, and healthy-looking.

What’s more all the face oils are free from parabens, mineral oils, microbeads, silicones, sulphates, artificial colours, fragrances and are vegan friendly. To purchase the Remedy Multi-Active face oil here for £62, the Revival Nectar face oil  here for £70 and the Elasticity Boost face oil here for £65.

Goddess Argan Hand & Body Wash and Beauty Oil by Ancienne Ambiance

NEW blog template.jpg

Beautifully scented products are one of our little weaknesses at The Amazing Blog. As much as we love discovering and trying new products we also like to return to brands that we know, when they launch new products. One of these is Ancienne Ambiance, an award-winning London-based artisan brand who produce luxury home fragrances, perfume and body care all inspired by ingredients from the ancient world. We recently spotted their Goddess Argan Hand and Body Wash and Beauty Oil, and couldn't wait to try them!

There is nothing better than a relaxing shower and the right product can transform a basic shower into a heavenly one. The Ancienne Ambiance Goddess Argan Hand & Body Wash reminds us slightly of what we think a luxurious ancient Roman bath might have been like. This rich hand and body wash is formulated with 100% natural sweet coconut oil and argan oil and is a real treat. Apart from the coconut and argan oils it is also packed full of vitamin E and antioxidants. This product not only cleanses your body but is also gentle enough to use on the face too. It's designed to awaken the senses with its delicate scent and leaves the skin fully hydrated.

To complement the Goddess Argan Hand & Body Wash the brand has also created the Goddess Argan Beauty Oil. Known as their 'miracle oil' it is enriched with a wonderful cocktail of grape seed oil, argan oil, sweet almond oil and paprika oil. This Beauty Oil is a great multitasker and will give your face, body and hair all the care and hydration they need. All the ingredients work in harmony to intensely nourish dry skin and are also gentle enough to treat and soothe skin irritations such as eczema. This is a brilliant all-in-one product that leaves face, body and hair moisturised, replenished and soft.

We think that these two products also make the ideal travel companions with their combined multipurpose use.  So if you too want to feel like a Goddess, you can purchase the Hand & Body Wash here for £16 and the Beauty Oil here for £40.

Hand and Foot Care by All That Jazz

different size (portrait-landscape) blog template.jpg

During the long winter season, our hands and feet are highly prone to chapping and dryness when we have to go back and forth between the cold winds outside and the dry heaters indoors, often leaving our skin worse for wear. We neglect these parts of the body and forget to give them the care and hydration that they deserve. At The Amazing Blog, we believe that taking care of our hands and feet should be an essential step in every good pampering routine. So, when we received All That Jazz Hand and Foot Scrub, Effervescent Soak and Hand and Foot Cream it piqued our interest.

First, we tried the Chocolate and Orange Effervescent soak, and we absolutely loved it. The soak is formulated with sodium, citric acid and cacao seed butter giving it that delicious scent that is so moreish that it reminds us a little of Jaffa cakes. Not only will it leave an incredible aroma, but when added to hot water this treatment leaves palms and soles softer and smoother than ever before.

To complement the Effervescent Soak, the brand also created a Hand and Foot Scrub; we used the Apple and Cucumber Hand and Foot Scrub where you can really smell the freshness of these appetising aromas. This scrub is enriched with the most natural and nourishing ingredients including sweet almond oil, camellia oil, rosehip oil and cocoa seed butter. Whilst removing all dead skin and impurities, this scrub also leaves skin intensely hydrated and smooth.

What would a body care routine be without real hydration? A fraud that’s what we say. Our friends at All That Jazz must have thought the same when they created their hydrating Hand and Foot Cream, which penetrates and moisturises the skin creating a hydrating and anti-aging barrier. Infused with shea butter, coconut oil, grape seed oil, and olive oil, this Maple Spice scented lotion has everything you need to have hands and feet softer than a baby's skinCoconut oil and shea butter, renowned for their deeply nourishing properties, work together to promote healthy and soft skin. We're not only hooked on the performance of these products, but also on their delicious fragrances. You can purchase the soak here for £9.99, buy the scrub here for £14.99, the hand and foot cream is available here for £5.99.
